Well, Chris Flexen did his job as he held the Astros to 2 runs in 5 2/3 innings and the Mariners took a 3-2 lead into the top of the 8th.

That's when reliever Joe Smith decided he didn't want to win the game giving up 2 runs in the inning leading to the 4-3 loss.

I can't stand bullpens not doing their job, especially at home. No excuse for it and with that implosion, my juicy 30 dime dog comes up short.

Let's move on.

Well, nice to close out winning month #5 in a row in style as my 50 dimer on the A's over the Tigers rolls to the easy 9-3 win.

Here is what I have accomplished for all the world to see the last 5 months:

A winning college basketball season. A winning NCAA tourney. A winning NBA season. A winning NBA playoffs, a winning baseball season and a winning NFL preseason.

Oh, and what a way to start the college football season last Saturday as my 100 dimer on Illinois (+7) wins outright 30-22 over Nebraska just as I said they would.

What you have seen the last 5 months is consistent winning across the board.

Now let's start winning month #6 in a row with a 2nd straight 50 dime winner.

My point is that TB has won nine straight and 13 of 14 of late, and the Sox have been lousy with no real hopes of getting better until the Covid players

return.

Thus imo win or lose, and as a Sox diehard, with a low line at home for TB(I see now that they are a slight favorite rather than a dog), I can't imagine anyone

betting on the Sox in this game and especially a big bet.

I have a tradition of not betting on or against the Sox (I do on rare occasions make a totals bet), but if someone pointed a gun at my head and forced me to

bet on this game, I most certainly would bet TB and of course hope I was wrong.

I was looking strictly at odds earlier this morning.

Whenever you see Lang on a Run Line he normally likes to give himself plus odds and Blue Jays on Run Line were/are still around -130. Oakland has now gone that same route and Red Sox are an outright dog.

Even though they are now -120 on the run line they were at plus odds when he released them.

Sale has been hot since his return but the Rays are hot as well so forget that game. The A's fit his criteria much better than anything else.
