The journey for winning week #2 in a row and 6 of my last 7 is off to a slow start.
Last night I back Penn State, lose my starting center, a guy who's averaging 12 points and a team-leading 9 rebounds, 3 minutes into the game and you can kiss any chance for the cover good bye.
When you are on a winning streak, that doesn't happen but when you are cold, all the breaks go against you.
To put it bluntly, after 5 straight losing days, I've hit my first slump in 6 weeks.
Now for those of you that have just joined and believe me, there are a lot of you, it's 5 straight losing days for a total of -143 dimes of net profit.
For those of you that have been here for the long haul, I've still won 19 of the past 29 days for a net profit of +330 dimes.
And I'm still on a 19-10-1 college basketball run.
And I've still turned a profit 4 of 5 weeks entering this current week.
Believe me, I've had losing streaks and losing weeks before so this 0-for-5 slump isn't the first and won't be the last. I'd like to tell you differently, but that would be a boldfaced lie.
But I haven't lost my confidence and I am still the same guy who went on a 12-1-1 run to start this month and 7-9 since.
I'm the same guy who just gave you the Eagles over the Patriots to improve to 23-3-2 lifetime with his Super Bowl picks.
I hit the wall back in November in football, too, but then closed the season on a 17-6 NFL run that made $10 bettors $10,260.
Slumps are part of the game and I find myself in one now.
I have and always will battle my way back and tonight is about starting a new winning streak.

So after going 5-1-1 the week before the super bowl in college basketball and 7-0 super bowl week, I have now gone 7-10 my last 17 releases.
As I said yesterday, for those of you that have just joined and believe me, there are a lot of you, it's 6 straight losing days for a total of -165 dimes of net profit.
For those of you that have been here for the long haul, I've still won 19 of the past 30days for a net profit of +308 dimes.
And I'm still on a 19-11-1 college basketball run.
And I've still turned a profit 4 of 5 weeks entering this current week.

Time for 2 in a row and I am doubling down.
Well, got on the board this week with the 20 dimer on Harvard (+1) going to OT to deliver the winner 72-66 setting up this all important Saturday.
It was a week ago Thursday night I gave you a 40 dime winner on Houston (+3) beating Cincinnati 67-62 ending the Bearcats 16-game winning streak.
It was a week ago Friday night I gave you a 40 dime winner on St.Bonnaventure (+2) 77-74 over Rhode Island ending the Rams 16-game winning streak.
Today I look to hand you a 3rd straight 40 dime winner.
Listen, as hot as I was going 5-1-1 in college basketball the week before the super bowl and 7-0 the week of the super bowl, the 12-1-1 run was incredible.
I cooled off and even with that 20 dime winner on Harvard last night I am still 8-10 my last 18.
However, let's discuss the big picture: I have won 5 of the last 6 weeks and despite the slow start to this week, hit this 40 dimer today and winning week #6 of 7 is in play big time.
