first of all I am 23 and have no children, and Ill cross that bridge when I come to it. But like I said when you make that much money and Hit one 380 feet, any other player in the majors (except lazy-ass and steroided up Barry Bonds) would make it to 2nd base. He needs to quit all that damn celebrating and play the game. Hell, Big Fatty advanced 3 bases. Instead of laughing about it and talking about how it is just "manny being manny", you should be embarrased and be thinking about how it is "manny being lazy."
Ramirez is a great hitter and I enjoy watching him play partially because he gets style points in any situation. Though I generally dislike Boston fans, I do think they get the goof and think they appriciate the contrast he -Ramirez- is to their being self-appointed arbitrators of baseball history as cryptkeepers and posessors of knowledge of athletic efficiency and suffering.

I wasn't bad mouthing Ramirez. I don't think he's lazy, or a bad fielder. I don't think he hurts his team. I think he is one of the better hitters who has ever lived.
All I was saying is that that one at bat was pretty much the quintessential Ramirez Play. By that I mean that if I was going to describe Ramirez to someone in one sentence 20 years from now, I would probably say that he was an all-time great hitter who was even better in the clutch, and that he was also known for doing weird stuff from time to time. That one play encapsulates those things perfectly.
Please don't try to psychoanalyze me. And what does my avatar have to do with anything? I don't care one way or the other about Boston or Ramirez.
I've got no problem with Ramirez or you. Hope you feel the same.

Doesnt give a shit about anyone but himself.........???, having watched Manny play over the years, would tend to dispute this. As a player, Manny cheers for teammates as much as any player I've seen..........and I've also read numerous articles of his generosity and kindness to red sox clubhouse personal, fans, and children of the Boston area.

The ones who do ... they only PRETEND to ... Manny does more for the Jimmy Fund than half of his teammates ... and most of America ...
... and Manny has given more time and more money to charity than YOU have ... when was the last time you visited (or volunteered to help) children with cancer?
