The Derby is BY FAR the "squares" horse race. People who only bet races\go to the track do it on Derby Day. A few $2 tickets can do a lot of damage on a race like that.

All the chalk went up in flames, but what's new? This is the "You'd be a millionaire if you had......" horse race of the year. Joe Public doesn't want to see that his $20 paid $25.

I'll take the under for as much as you can afford.Remember Pinny lays off ALOT of there horse action and 2,if anyone was going to play the winner they would automatically go to just a handfull of books,one of them being Pinny,since they pay full track odds.I think the CRIS',HOLLYWOODs,OLY's type books really cleaned up as they pay only15 to 20/1.GREENHEAD

i loved giacomo this winter and before the s anita derby thought he might start to peak and
be a nice overlay on derby day so i played him at these crappy prices granted i did GET PAID OFF, but I missed the value. After the S Anita Derby being so slow I got off him and all over Afleet Alex to place. God what a heart wrencher, could have been a huge huge huge score Derby Day.

by the way did anyone hear the terrible call Davy Johnson had on the radio feed of the Derby? He called Wilco the winner! Thought Giacomo was Wilco.

I thought I owed $2000 to LAbeeb I was sick. but then I saw the big screen adn it was the 10 horse

anyone shocked on how crappy that show ticket on Afleet Alex was by the way? $4.20? Excuse me? did Afleet have 2X the show money that Bellemy had? anyone see final show pools?

Thursday afternoon, a well respected poster across the street made some very compelling reasons to bet Giacomo in the Derby. The horse had met with trouble in previous outings and had valid excuses for not winning. Moneyline brought up the fact that the speed horses should probably be dismissed, Giacomo had a 6F bullet work coming in, perfect post and not the least of which a great jockeywith an excellent game plan. Best of all though were the tremendous odds he predicted Giacomo would go off at.

I suspect quite a few posters hopped on board to eat a gaping hole in Derby offshore book profits. Just wish I had made the $76 2-way exacta wheel instead of the $100 place bet.
