i sent my host an e-mail a few weeks ago and yesterday he got back to me.i was asking him what he had set up for me during my next stay there (august 31st-sept 10th) and he says i have you for 2 free nights and a food voucher.im reading this and say, what the hell is this, ive been staying there like forever in the past 8 years and always got my rooms taken care of for me and now i get this shit.he also says in the e-mail that this is from their director which i never heard of before.i wrote back a big response and sent it back to him last night and im waiting to see what he says to me after he reads it.

i was not nasty to him i just said that this is unacceptable and i hope you can do better that that.can anyone figure out why this may have came about all of a sudden?i sure can't figure it out but i said if this is how its going to be then im going to go elsewhere.

All I usually ask for is to comp my room and some food. I don't drink so I don't ask for beverages to be comped and that is about it

I have heard they have always been generous, but yea 2 nights on an almost week and half stay is too light of an offering

Yea I just don't get it. I know it's not about my play either cause I always meet the requirements with my blackjack and video poker so something is wrong somewhere

Their requirements can't be too high. Unless they have really gone off the rails. In which case, nobody needs to go out in the bushes to go over there.

if you don't mind telling, how much do you have to bet to get a host and rooms comped? Just curious.

Last few times I stayed at Orleans my host got me about 4-5 nights (however long I was staying), a small food credit (like $25/day), a $250 Macy's gift card for the wife, and a gift basket waiting for me in the room as well as 8-10 bottled waters.

Made me feel special and makes me want to stay there again

Your Comp rating is only as good as your last stay.

Meaning, it's possible you didn't Gamble enough the last time you were there.

depending on your level, they want to to see 4 hours of Action each and Everyday.

I Don't know how many hours you spent gambling the last time, but I do remember that you and a few guys were semi-Casino Hopping .... so maybe you took away time that you would have spent at the New Orleans ??

Doesn't matter on How bad you Lost, or How Much you Won. Someone could spent 8 hours a day and break out even, and they will Comp you ..no problem.
They want Bodies at those Tables. Plus as you know, the more you spend at the tables/Machines, the better chance you will Lose.

circus circus is a no way stay, the only thing i go there for is THE STEAKHOUSE and thats it.

BAS,i already had all that in mind as we went to other places and even though i stayed at LVH fot 2 of the days i did go up to the ORLEANS one of the days to get some time in.I had a good rating in march as i seen and i did a lot more than 4 hours daily there.

this morning i received an e-mail from my host and he said, you will get the 2 free nights(promotion)and food, then the other 8 days for 288.00 and he will review my play at the end of my trip.he said you know how this works, and he said ive never not taken care of your whole stay at the end of your trip.

well it is true he has always made good when i was leaving but i feel its better and easier for them to just comp the rooms at the begining since he knows i always play to cover my bill anyway so whats the big deal.

anyway i contacted the vice president/general manager by e-mail and said i wanted to discuss some things with him.well he got back to me telling me he is on vacation right now but he would call me on monday when he gets back,so i guess the e-mail went to his phone.so ill see what he has to tell me and go from there.

I think more and more Casinos are doing this, but Never heard of this type of place doing it.

I agree that you should at least have your Rooms Up Front.

I'm guessing by your Post you are staying 10 Days ?? This also might be the reason.

I had this happen at the Silverton my last trip. I usually got any and everything I wanted. This time got an email from my host and some promotions gal saying about the same thing. They would comp me my usual suite for Friday and Saturday night, but then the rate would be $xxx. All things would be adjusted based on my casino play. I didn't wind up paying for anything, but it was just the idea of it all.

My last few trips I've booked rooms at a decent rate on my own and just used the comps for food.
Its not like it used to be out there. Better off paying for room, getting food comped and having no required play at a specific casino.

The SouthPoint however is fantastic when it comes to comps IMO.
