I'll more than likely just have 1 or 2 matchups.. and go big on those 2. Im going out of town, this is probably my favorite event and one of the easiest to cap in my opinion.

Just 1 matchup this week. If i hit it, then well do 1 next week.. etc.. Until it reaches 5 in a row. Golf is taking up too much of my personal time right now. I need to get a job then I will get back involved.

I like Robert Karlsson. Hard to beat these finishes.

He's done everything but win. Angel Cabrera playing well too at the right time, and has his first major under his belt.

I faded Harrington across the board..minus sergio which was like -200 or something

draig Harrington has confirmed he will battle through the pain barrier to play in The Open Championship at Royal Birkdale this week.

The Irishman is struggling with a strained right wrist and played only nine holes of practice on Tuesday before being advised to rest it further.

During those nine holes he did not attempt to play any shots from the rough – choosing instead to kick the ball to the shorter grass – but he hopes to be fine on Thursday when he begins his defence of the title he won so dramatically last year.

He said: "I know I will not get through 72 holes this week without going in the rough and the biggest worry is if I do something that will flare it up and give me a problem. That will certainly be an issue."

Having said that, Harrington was happy with how the nine holes went, even though his Australian sports chiropractor Dale Richardson then inspected the wrist and told him to take the rest of the day off.

"If it wasn't The Open I would have pulled out. I would have come for treatment and then decided I could not risk it. But because it's The Open I will definitely make the effort."

After driving home from a successful defence of the Irish PGA Championship on Saturday the 36 year old hit shots for two hours outside.

As it became dark he then went indoors to an exercise and practice room he has installed in his house and that is where the problem occurred.

"I felt something and on Sunday I couldn't lift a club even to chip. It was a serious concern then because I couldn't go and test it. I couldn't see if it was better or worse.

"I got hold of Dale at Loch Lomond Golf Club, met up with him here and it has responded well to treatment. But playing those nine holes has weakened it as expected."

Because of that he decided just to walk the inward half - he played Royal Birkdale in The Open in 1998 so is familiar with the lay-out - and hopes to be able to play those holes and possibly all 18 on Wednesday.

"I'm taking anti-inflammatories as it is and I will probably protect the wrist in the tournament. But I didn't today because I wanted to see how it was. I'm happier than I was this morning. It's inflamed, but I was pain-free for those nine holes.

"When I went to the range I had no idea what was ahead and that was more nerve-wracking. On the course I was fearful and very worried at first, but it was fine, although I had a fuzzy, tingly feeling and I felt it pushing a tee in the ground a couple of times."

Although he kicked the ball out of the rough onto the fairway to hit approaches to the green, Harrington drew comfort from the fact that he did not see any "rough rough" like at the US Open.

His intention is to hit at least one shot from it tomorrow as a test.

"This is a brand new injury - I've never had anything like this before," he added before managing a joke.

"Know the best thing about a wrist injury?" he asked reporters. "It makes you forget about having a neck injury."

The world number 14 could hardly turn his head when he arrived for The European Open two weeks ago, but that eased as the week went on and that is what he hopes will be the case now.
