Meat Loaf: Hell in a Handbasket, coming later this year.
Wow!!! hopefully i can keep from getting banned on the meatloaf fan forum long enough to get all the details. There's only about 52 Meat Loaf fans on the face of the earth -- basically me and 51 fat women -- but you've gotta hand it to the guy. Fresh off a 6 month+ world wide tour for the last album, he's going right back to the studio to record another album and talking about ANOTHER world wide tour beginning early next year. Although the last album had disappointing sales considering that it was produced by Rob Cavallo and featured several guest stars (most notably a duet with Jack Black), it was a SOLID rock record and his vocals were the best they have been in 15+ years, so I'm glad to see him plugging along while he's in top form.
For you Bat Out of Hell diehards, all reports indicate that the highly anticipated and monstrously produced "Bat Out of Hell: The Musical" will hit the stages sometime next year. Creator and composer Jim Steinman is keeping a very tight lid on the specifics, although he is on record as stating that there will be an Evil Knievel type stunt that involves a motorcycle, fire, and a giant bat. Perhaps this is a reason the Ole Loaf isn't wasting any time getting back out on the road -- considering that he has not been invited to be a part of Steiman's project, the next best thing is to have a new record and tour to coincide with the launch of the Bat Out of Hell show.
Keep rocking Meat Loaf -- fuck the Justin Biebers of the world
