I don't know jack shit about anything, but if no one else is willing to step up to the plate, I'll certainly take a crack at winning some type of prize.

I'd suggest that no matter what sport you want to handicap, you familiarize yourself with the teams and players as much as possible. That means actually watching them with your own eyes on TV...if you're knowledgable on sports at all, you'll be able to formulate your own opinions on players and coaches, the team's style, etc. and then be able to implement that knowledge into your handicapping.

For instance, if you watch a basketball team on TV and, win or lose, they impress you with how they play, toughness, etc., you'll automatically make a mental note of it and apply it in the future, as opposed to just looking at records or stats and being like "oh, well team A averages more points than team B. They must be better." Sports are about a lot more than stats, IMO.

I have no idea really what I'm talking about, though. There are plenty of guys on here who have been doing this for years successfully who could help you out.

But if they're unwilling to post...I'll take a personalized video of you masturbating and bringing yourself to a bunch of ridiculous orgasms. Real of course, none of that fake shit. That will suffice as my prize. Make a note, GD.

The fact a semi-retarded Indian kid going to VCU took the time to type and separate paragraphs is enough to impress me.
I'm kind of surprised you want a personalized video of me masturbating though. Oh ok, not really surprised.

ha ha ha I KNEW you were gonna read it like that. You gay bastard.

And I learned how to type separate paragraphs before getting to VCU, obviously.

I have learned a plethora of excuses for stiffing homeless people, though.

You should work on your game on all those freaky drama chicks in Richmond. Then you can step up to the big leagues. The mascot isn't the Ram for no reason, you know.

Take the points on the Public games of interest. First off all the lines are jacked up from the start because the oddsmaker knows the squares will play it. Second, when they do start playing it, the line moves up giving you even more value.

At the very least you will not suffer a long losing streak like what can happens with favorites. You may not get a long winning one on the other hand, but you will be in the game much longer. Plus you will look a ton smarter by not betting like a square. You will also appear semi sharp as most newbies just go with what they see and read and bet accordingly as well as lose accordingly.

To summarize. Take the Points. Double so on the big public games of interest.

You really need to get this guy started? Besides his hand would feel left out if he started developing his skills with non-Rxers :lolBIG:

And those drama queens here stay away from me because usually I make them feel like their lives aren't so bad...and then they stop cutting themselves. And nobody wants that.

look for trends in the match-up. Often times one trend sways in heavy favor of a particular side. Whether it be weather, playing surface or maybe a coaching match up.

When possible, compare the matchup with previous scenarios.

Like how does a team/coach do coming off a bye in NFL? some coaches have remarkable records coming off a bye.

or how does a team come off a loss? Belichek and Patriots haven't lost consecutive games in 3 years i believe.

In the NBA, check out how a team does when they're playing a b2b or with multiple nights off.

Stick to what you know or like. I noticed in here somewhere that you are a big UFC fan so start with something you like and can identify with and go from there.

Narrow your focus. You live on the west coast I presume so focus on teams from your region/area. Its easier than trying to play all over the baord on teams you dont even know where there from. Also, its easier to find the info you may be looking for on the teams in your area. Advanced cappers dont have that problem, but newbies do, because there is so much out there. You also here about them in the general news and so forth also.

When it comes to selection time, go with what you want to go with, not what others tell you. When you win, pat yourself on the back and whhen you lose kick yourself. Do not look to blame or give credit to others.

Develop your own style. There are many ways to cap and make money at this stuff, Find what works for you and stick with it.
