The NFL should review possible pass interference too.

If you are gonna review it, review it all. That bears receiver got mugged in the endzone.

Your absoulutely right , Chicago,s two biggests play from scrimmage were courtesy of the Zebras. Hester was crying all nite.
Now way should the Zebras decide this game with flag. It,s a joke a game like that come down to that.

Go to a college rule where you only get 15 yards for pass interference. Not 1st and goal from the 1 if it's in the end zone.

I get sick of all the challenges out there.

At lest 50% of them are thrown by coaches in desperation, and they waste lots of time, and make me want to change the channel.

If anything, I think teams should only get 1 challenge per game. I am sick of coaches challenging these border line things, or ticky tacky, or the dream wish challenge.

You get 1 get out of jail free card, if you were honestly fucked over, then reverse it, but otherwise... there are plenty of shitty calls already, you are never going to fix that.

not a bad idea...I am sure there are some negatives...

Little bit of sour grapes for me as I was on Chic fairly heavy...

That call should have been made but I have been on both sides of the call too...

I was yelling at the PI too, but the coaches for CHI clearly cost us the cover.

Fake Punt when your up 4?

Passing 3 times in a row with 5 mins left and the Saints have 1 timeout?

Wow

Yeah the fake punt in all regards was a bad call...

But wouldn't it have been great if it had succeeded.

It would be a terrible idea to just give 15 yd PI penalty for a mugging in the endzone. And once inside the 30, it would simply be 1/2 the distance to the goal. You would have many more DBs mugging WRs inside the redzone, knowing all they will get is a 15 yd penalty and not a spot foul.

Take a 1st and 10 from midfield and they throw a bomb to the WR in space. The safety comes up and clobbers him to prevent the TD. Now the offense gets the ball 1st and 10 from the 35, instead of having that TD? All DBs would be taking out WRs easily. Vs. the current rule, where if the guy mugs him to prevent the TD, it's 1st and goal at wherever he hit him (assuming its inside the 10). Makes the foul much more harsh and thus, less likely to occur.

NFL would not overturn the rule, with everything they have done to promote offense and scoring.

At least the offence would get the clock stopped on the PI penalty.

It,s funny how in the NBA fouling at the end of the game is strategy.

Bad Beat

There's no getting around that the bears should have covered last night affair but bad calls by coaching staff and bad qb by kyle only made matters worst.Should have been interference in end and would have had one shot at enzone. Unfortunet that i had the bears at -3.5,so unless they scored td in ot i wanted no to win what an ugly lost leaves bad taste.:toast:

If the receiver held on to that damn ball and Chicago hung on to win the game, I guarantee you every one will praise Lovie Smith for the great changing call play. To me, I love that call because NO got a chance to score, eventhough they did not make it until later they had a TD on Orton pass INT and then Chicago had to get the FG to tie that make Overline bettors like us went to bed happily, with out those aggressive play the game should be way Under 45.5:103631605

Orton doesn't fumble the exchange on their own 1 and this ballgame was over anyway.

That only helps the defense out. Why not cause a PI on every deep ball then? I'd rather give up 15 than a game winning TD. College plays aren't smart/good enough to do that, but with a game on the line in the NFL you would see every half-decent DB knocking down a WR that was going to burn them.

I personally think penalties should be challenged as well. However you still only get 2 challenges per game, with the optional 3rd.

There are MANY game changing penalties that are just flat out wrong. If some coach hasn't used any challenges and the game is on the line, and his lineman gets called for a phantom facemask, why not let him challenge it?

15 yards for PI in the NFL would be chaos

every long play with any oppurtunity to catch the ball would be pass intereference
