4-5 Years ago the Jets were playing Miami in a classic AFC East battle in prime time. I, along with my cousin, just happened to like Miami on this night and were laying 3.5. The game was very tight the whole way through. I believe the score was like 24-17 (Miami) with maybe 45 seconds left and the Jets drove down field and scored to make it 24-23 with the Xtra point to come, my cousin and I thought we were done laying the 3.5. (Just 1 minute before that faithfull drive down the field we were both dancing and giggling like degenerate gamblers would do after a very nice pay day) Sooooo, the Jets line up for the Xtra point and were hoping they make it for an OT cover (maybe) Jets miss the Xtra point and we both get a dagger to the heart because there's noooooo fawking way we can win now and cover the 3.5 with Miami getting the ball back with 15 seconds left, they are gonna sit on the ball, GAME OVER! Right?, WRONG! Kick off get's returned the distance and we cover!... I just about knawed my hand off that entire game...

Bucs vs. Rams , NFC Championship.......Bert Emanuel's "no~catch" that was clearly an everday catch. Call came from upstairs, not from the field judge or refs. Very obvious someone "more important" with the NFL wanted the Rams in the Super Bowl, whether it be for ratings, or whatever.

last seson>>>caroline vs. New Orleans. I believe Carolina was winning with less than 1 minute left....even if NO got 1 TD Carolina still would have covered. Of course NO scored and carolina got the ball back with 10 seconds left and still covering. Lo and behold RondneyPeete goes back to throw with no time left on the clock and asshole turns the ball over and NO runs the ball back for a TD!! game over and No wins and of course covers!!!

2 I recall, but not quite all the specifics.

Cover.
Late 80's or early 90's MNF, I remeber it as Houston v Cinci, but can't find the game. I was laying 13 points in a meaningless game. I had a horrible weekend, 0-5 college, 1-6 pros. Bet $2,000 on Houston to cover. Easy win, in command and up 14 or 17 all game. Cinci drives for a late touchdown. Oilers are running out the clock and moving downfield, but too slow. A little over 2 minutes left from the Cinci 25, 3rd and 4, they pick uo the 1st but get a 5 yard penalty. I figure they run out the clock, punt, and I lose. No, they throw a screen pass and run it in for a TD and the cover.

Loss:
FLA St v LSU
Have LSU +2, FSU up 1 under 1 minute to go. 4th down from their own 36. Bowden calls a fake punt and runs it down to the LSU 1 (at least if they scored the TD LSU had a chance to come back and tie). Lose the bet.

The one game that sticks out in my mind was the last game of this past reg season stl vs san fran monday night game....Some guy on this forum (Vega007) kept posting that on this day the biggest fix in nfl history will take place......The line opened at stl +3 and closed at stl -3 ...stl went on a 31-3 run in the 2nd half to win the game and cover.

heres an example of one of vega's posts saying that "31 days and counting to the greatest fix in NFL history" this was posted on 11/29 and sure enough san fran played stl on dec 30th 31 days later

I had "free get out at halftime play" (Heritage) offered a couple years ago...Well i had OVER total East Carolina and Southern Miss..Total was like 57, I had 52 at halftime, obviously I didn`t get out needing just one more touchdown....Second half had 0 points!

First half 52 second 0....Nobody would have used the 'Free get out at that point' what made it even worse if I had won I would have still had my free get out !

I have atleast 500 more I could talk about...

Yeah that Panthers/Saints game still haunts me. But not as much as the Giants imploding against the 49ers in the play-offs. WTF happened to the DEFENCE?

steelers, falcons monday night game about 4 years ago, I had pit at -5.5, they were up by 6 with 10 seconds to go from their own 5 yard lind. cowher tells the punter to take the intentional safety, pit won by 4 and pissed me off more than I have ever been pissed off before in my life.

scpnc...oh man i remember that one!

I had another ridiculous one that came to mind...

I had ATL in the playoffs against SAN FRAN about 4 yrs ago...the line was SF-2.5 , I decided I`d BUY a half point and take ATL giving me 3...So AtL leads most of the game only to see SF pull it out late ! SF ends up scoring a TD late that left them up by TWO , SF lines up for the extra point and I`m pissed because I knew I was gonna push it..WRONG! they botch the extra point and Steve Young ends up throwing a flutter ball RIGHTHANDER into the back of the endzone , and the 49er comes down with it to give SF the win by 4!

what's even more interesting is the fact that 31 days before that contest was played, the playoff situation for both of those clubs was tottaly unclear.

If you guys think Vega knew something thats ridiculous...

A word about VEGA, he always was claiming he knew of a fix..

Sometimes of course he will look like he knew something , but any week of the year , a game or two will look fishy..

Vega admitted he knew nothing...End of story!

Who could forget the greatest come back in the history of the NFL? Bills come back from a 35-3 deficit in the 3rd quarter against the Houston Oilers!

It was the winter of 95 i believe..It was snowing and it was X-mas..It was NY..The Giants were playing in the meadowlands..I believe the opposition was the eagles..Giants up 4 laying 2 with 4 minutes to go and the Jints are moving..Dave Brown was the QB on that wonderful day..Its cold and the wind in the Stadium is swirling..It was the last game of the season and the Giants were heading nowhere..No postseason hopes and the fans that year were not happy..Then it happens..Brown goes back to pass and its intercepted..The Eagle is running towards the end zone..Then fans in all of their glory start throwing snow balls at the safety who is running towards the end zone..The guy is pelted with snowballs but scores the TD..What a ugly scene for the Giant faithful..They lose the cover and fans are being escorted out of the seats from where the snowballs came from..People on that day lost season tickets..UGLY..But worse my partner and i lose the decision..
Fast forward to 4 hours later in the evening..My partner and I go out that evening to a well known establishement where if you have $ and a game plan, theres no stopping you..In NY in the 90's this place was on the upper east side..Its history is well known for a place where athletes can go along with celebrities and find a wonderful environment where 1/2 naked women can be found..
We go to the VIP area to have a drink and compose ourselves from the tuff late afternoon loss we just experienced..Lo and behold guess who was in the dimly lit area of this upscale eastablishment?..The Giant who thru the pass and his offensive line..They were blowing off some steam after a tuff loss..
There is no justice..I sat back and watched them thoroughly enjoy themselves..Its a memory i will never forget..In their loss, they somehow found glory..

Journey....
I'm just stating what I read. Vega was shouting bout this fix for at least 50 days before it happened. I think this is lots more than mere coincidence
