The new Rx home page is a disaster.

Since the Rx has changed to its new home page, it takes FOR-E-VER to download.
I am using dial up.
Your website didn't do this before.
I don't have this problem with 90% of the sites out there.

I avoid the website currently - it's a waste of time waiting for the download.

I have no choice. My current living situation doesn't allow other than dial up.
But - other than that situation - I like my living situation. Not willing to move just so I don't have to use dial up.

The home page takes too long to download. It didn't before.

Agree with you Scooter. I have DSL and this site is the slowest loading site ut of approx 200 favorites I have. I have the Comm Forum as a favorite and totally bypass the home page. No problems. feel sorry for the writers on the home page.

It should be very simple for the Rx to create a sister site which does away with graphics and images for those with slow connections. It would be the right thing to do for these poor souls.

two suggestions

If you usually come for the forum, use this link instead of the main home page

http://forum.therx.com/

Also, it is usually the pictures and graphics that slow you down the most on dial up connections. The following should help for this site and any other site that is slowing you down.

- Click on "tools" at the top of your browser;
- select "internet options";
- and then select the "advanced tab";
- and then scroll down to the "multimedia" section and click on the "show pictures" check mark so the check mark goes away.
- and then click on "OK" to save the settings

Remember to do this BEFORE you visit any web page that is slow to load.

Then when you want to start seeing pictures again for when you visit the porn sites, just do the same as above and click in the "show pictures" box again (so the check mark comes back) to restore the pictures.

I'm on Cable, and since the new design has gone through I've actually had to wait for the "bottom 3/4" of the page to load.

We got more problems than a drug addict in a pharmacy.
