I have no interest in either team or series here but once again the Lakers are absolutely handed a gift win on their homecourt. This has been going on since the 70's and it is another reason why so many have turned away from the NBA. I defy anyone to name ANY team in pro sports that has rcvd more benefit via officiating than the LA Lakers on a constant basis. FWIW, Marion's last 3 fouls were a joke! Late in regulation Diaw was breaking to basket under a Nash lead pass and Walton or someone grabbed his jersey so he couldnt get to ball. Typical turn-a-blind-eye officiating in favor of Fakers. Where are the Laker fans to defend this outrage???

Well if the Suns could make some free throws then I guess the "fix" would have been off? Speaking of a "fix" some of you might want to go look at some of those Suns players who have mysteriously disappeared in the postseason. Suddenly the all-mighty Suns have to rely on Tim Thomas to be their go-to guy??? What happened to that plethora of talent on the bench??

Eddie House can you hear me? Hello has anyone seen Leandro Barbosa? James Jones are you there? Hello?????

This happens every year the Lakers have a decent team and there is nothing you can do about it. I just accept it, had plenty of disappointments being a Suns fan. The NBA can get away with it because they know tonight all the country will see are the two baskets by Kobe to tie and then win it. No one is going to show James getting held by the jersey; no one is going to show Nash getting mugged. It will be all about Kobe and since that is what the NBA wants to sell the public on they are getting exactly what they wanted.

Now if I believed the Suns had enough to win it all this year I'd be really pissed, but I don't so life goes on.

I find it ironic how on the road the Lakers don't get the calls the home team does, and the country goes silent, but when the Lakers come home and do get some questionable calls the fix is on. Of course.

That was unbelievable. Replays clearly showed he got fouled AND called timeout. The refs have been downright lousy so far this postseason...the Wiz Kids better get these homer calls tonight, that's all I gotta say.

Oh wait, we're playing Lebron, nevermind. Stern's gotta protect his stars and help 'em advance.

I meant James was held not Diaw.

Hey Dr Pepper, you ever notice that as a rule that fans do not make this sort of complaint toward the Pistons at home, or Dallas, Miami, San Anton, ??? Yes, now and then you hear it but no team in the history of the league get the treatment the Lakers get, Jordan's Bulls are the only ones that came close but as a rule they would have won all those home games anyway. You just never see the Lakers lose a close one at home in playoffs.

The Lakers have always been everyones farvorite targets. They only won because they had Shaq, blah blah blah. They can't win with the scrubs Kobe has been left with. blah blah blah. This Suns team is so deep with talent, anyone can pick up where another player left off...etc

Fact is, if the Suns made a free throw, is Shawn Marion knew he had 5 fouls when he fouled Lamar, didn't force Amare coming back, had some bench help, etc. this never would have happened. But of course, because it did, it's a fix and the refs handed them a game.

Hell, that shot Robert Horry made agains the Kings - that was a fix too. Someone took the ball and made it go in the basket.

I think it's funny that not only do the refs "fix games" but they also make shots for the winning players, miss shots for the losing team AND do all the intangibles like pass, count, and rebound.

Show me somebody that says the Suns have a strong supporting cast around Nash. It is amazing how good they were this year witht he collection of stiffs that they have playing big minutes. give me Odom, Kwame, Walton over Barbosa, Diaw, Bell everyday. This Suns team just doesnt have enough to do any damage this year. What Nash has done with this supporting cast is what makes him the MVP. Put Smush Parker in Nash's place and they don't sniff the playoffs (without Stoudamire).

And I dont think it was a fix. Just think it was a horrendous call made by a ref that caved in to the home crowd and star power of the Lakers.

You need to dig up those Suns' players stats last year, and two years ago. If anything, you've just provided more evidence that Nash makes everyone around him much better. Thanks.

Watching it again either tha was a foul or he was calling timeout. This is why the NHL playoffs is so much better. Games aren't decided late like that.

Exactly.

During the TNT 1/2 time show for Zards game Barkely and them said the first time they saw the play they thought Nash was fouled but watching it on replay they thought it was a clean play and the jump ball was the correct call.

Barkley is a pretty biased guy and says whats on his mind at all times.

Where was al the complaints when Kobe got mauled in game 1 when the Lakers were down 2 late in the 4th?

Exactly.....funny how short some memories can be when $$$$$ is involved. Nobody remembers the size of that lump on KB's forehead and the non-call??

I had a chase 3 teamer for 3 bills ( BUlls ML, Pho ML, Wiz ML) AND Lakes -1.5 2H for multiple units.........

Ended up getting polish middled and yet have no problem with the calls.

I'm still waiting for whore-moan to come into this thread and blame it all on a USC conspiracy.

Was there even one on tonight?
Cant believe these guys are still playing that game?
Most usually 3 for show and 1 for the dough, if the refs allow it.

NBA=No Bettting Allowed.
