Lot of former players/coaches have mentioned this but have been threatened to be put out the league (van gundy). The refs call shit to make sure the game is close for ratings. Or they want a team to maake the playoffs that has a big market they will. ( lakers two years ago). Lakers/kings in 2002. There are many many reasons why the NBA rigs their own league. Many. I could go on and on. A lot of it is human nature but a lot of it isn't.
