I would imagine very few have been to either of these two casinos in Vegas........let alone both.

FWIW(very little), I have.

:toast:

These two make the Casino Royal look like the Bellagio.........and trust me, I'm not kidding.

I believe the ROUGE closed or burned down.

If you were not black and entered this casino, your chances of leaving alive were about 80%.............and again, I'm not kidding.

The 3-4 times I've visited, was the ONLY white person in the casino.

I think poster KYHAWK was robbed and stabbed in a bathroom stall at the Rouge.

Was actually a semi-regular at the Silver Nugget.......actually knew the owner, Bill Mahoney I believe his name was........long time ago.......1994-1996ish.

They would regularly run some very unique video poker promotions and tourneys that provided some nice overlays.

Had lots of laughs over the years in that little ballpark.

If you or anyone else is looking for casino chips, prepared to unload my hoard.........at 1.5-2.0x their face value...........most are limited editions and/or out of circulation(making them more valuable).

I'm not interested. I used to collect them a bit, when I lived in Vegas. I had maybe 150 different $1 chips ( mainly the metal ones, but some clay (?). They were stolen by a burglar. None cost me over face.

If you like I'll ask on a coin board, and see what those guys think is a good way to sell them. I assume you don't want to sell individually on ebay ? There might be a dealer in your area that dabbles in them.

I don't know how realistic price guides might be.

I'd look on that site, as if you wanted to buy what you already have.

If it were an actual US coin with a mintage of 200, it would be a major rarity.

I have no idea how many people are serious collectors of casino chips. Casinos do love it if you buy their $25 chips, and never redeem them.

Isn't the Opera House associated with the Silver Nugget in North Town? Same ownership I believe.

:nohead:

"She" saw Mr Smith's ball cap and in a voice turned baritone by 38+ years of smoking, she tried to hook him with, "Oh yeah...I'm a huge Bawston fayan....I just love going to Fenway Pawk....Wanna take the elevaytah to my suite?"
