Despite a hiccup in covering over Auburn last week, and being outgained to the tuned of 500 something to 280, we have to fade Baby Mike Shula and put some funds into the early retirement fund again this wk.
On the island, the Ruderless Tide will lack focus and be seeing Timmy Chang in their nightmares.
Go against this joke of a coach yet again, and thank me in the morning.

Ordinarily I would agree with you, but Hawaii has been piss-poor in the covering of spreads department. I've been on them several times this year and gotten burned....and that was against WAC teams. Is there any way in the world that Hawaii can stop Alabama from running the ball? Please tell me that an SEC team can cover a three point spread against a avaerage WAC team.

I have been down on Bama all year and Mike Shula's press conferences are a joke-is he even awake when they are playing?Nevertheless,I think Alabama wins despite their porous pass defense. The island will not be too big of a distraction-they were there last year. This team will be desperate for a win to finish the season.FIRE JOE KINES

I'll take Hawaii. At least last season, they journeyed to Hawaii under the guidance of an actual football coach (like him or not, Franchione is a proven winner despite his miserable current campaign). Bama was also going for a 10th win last year in this finale, and treated the whole things as a reward for a decent year, kind of an unofficial bowl game. The current Tide stinks. They've allowed four of their last five opponents to run wild for more than 200 yards, stopping only a pathetic Miss State team in this stretch. Unlike last season, they don't even have the pretense of calling this game meaningful. And Shula was a brutal hire who clearly is not head coaching caliber. Revenge motive is a big plus for Hawaii...and remember there was a pretty good fight in last year's game that I'm sure will have the fans fired up as well. Hawaii isn't good enough to win by a ton, but I see them at least a TD clear straight up in this game against a disinterested visitor.

I know one that couldn't: Miss State!

I have no idea what state of mind Bama's going to be in .... how "motivated" can this team be with a 4-8 record? If they can slow down Chang, they should be able to win this one

One thing's for certain: BAMA fans will NEVER be happy until the miracles of modern medicine can somehow genetically recreate Bear Bryant to prowl their sidelines again!

I was leaning towards the OVER .... but my numbers (using all games played) are coming out to 58.5, which is right on the number --- but crunching home/away numbers, it looks like an OVER ----- but then I looked at who Hawaii's actually played at home and the cast of characters (Army, UTEP, App State, Fresno St. and Rice) don't stack up to even a mediocre BAMA team

advise: don't walk away from this game ... RUN!!!!

, Wow, seems the line is forming to bash Bama and their NEW coach, who inherited a team, 1st from a LIAR (fran) and a drunk (price), had about 2 months to try and prepare for what has been ranked by many as the toughest schedule in the country. Coming in on the 2nd year of probation, reduced scholarships, etc.etc., I hate excuses, but short of Christ himself, not sure who could of done much better.
Mike Shula is young, has alot yet to learn, but here in Bama we/I believe that if you have to take a few lumps while learning on the job, could there have been a better year than this. Shula will be a great recruiter, a good coach, and possibly a great coach given some time. Yes, there will be some coaching changes(asst.), but given the amt. of time He had to form this staff, well nuff said. But this is fact, His job was not and is not in trouble at this point, and you know, things could be worse, ask Tubby over at Awe-burn. So take your shots while you can, sorry for the
