Never thought I would be this anxious and excited to see the CFL season roll around and here we are the week of the opening season and lines are due to come out anytime within the next 48 hours.

A lot of talk about the Argo's going to dismantle the East and I am sure the Bombers will be solid this year and my sleeper team is Montreal, not to do any damage but they should win more than 6 games in my humble opinion.

The west is going to be dominated by the Lions who seem to have found a good balance with Smith in the back field and now making it clear that Buck is the dude, only thing that is concerning is Jackson is a really inconsistent QB so if Buck goes down, BC might have problems. Calgary's defensive secondary is their weakness but Burris will have a great offensive season again and if he goes down, look for Dickenson to try to lock up that starting position. I think Sask is in deeper trouble than most think with never aging Crandell at the helm and Eskies will go as far as Ray takes them.

Will keep a running unit total and record and each unit is $100. Good luck to all this season, should be a fun one.

Thanks Rob, good luck to you too this season. CFL is considered my #1 sport. I have not had a losing season in CFL so hopefully that streaks continues this year. Will obviously pick my spots and will be betting halftimes frequently as there seems to be tons of value going against an offshore's opinion when some of them don't even get the game and are following online or basing their lines from a consultant watching the same game as us. Should be fun.

anywhere on the internet that i can watch CFL ... or getit on TV in the states?

Sometimes a satelitte station will carry the games. They are all being aired on TSN from my understanding so if you can get a Bell Canada signal from an underground satelitte, you should be able to watch it. Don't think it is worth it just for TSN in my opinion.

You should be able to catch a few games on http://channelsurfing.net/ as they aired some last year. I am sure there are other online TV streaming sites you can catch them on as well. d1g1t

I like the Alouettes catching points.

Hamilton at home is notorious for battling teams and giving a whole off season and training camp for Casey and the offense, I think the line is right if not a tad bit low. This game could easily go either way but +2.5 is not much value, it is pretty rare those two points will come into play. Lets see how this line moves if any, I think it is the right number with a tiny bit of value on Hamilton but who knows. Good luck this week.

Mandatory Greek. They open the lines and in order to get in at a good number, you have to have the Greek. 5Dimes you are betting a flat line. Good luck this season.

Week 1

The best play is Edmonton Eskimos +6.0.
For starters they are a healthy bunch and after last year's debacle theyhave something to prove.
Both the offensive and defesive lines have been rebuilt, as well as the seconday and special teams. Lots of new faces in camp this year and according to the local media this team is better than 2007.
Look for this to be a grind it out game with Ricky Ray QB hooking up for a late passing TD.

I'm liking Edmonton and Hamilton at those numbers, with a small lean on both Winnipeg and Calgary.

KC the Greek early lines would be only good depending on which side you're on and/or which way you're heading with the total. Would this make sense? :howdy:

I think Milt Stegall will be out for at least Week 1, recovering from off season surgery. That definitely impacts a potential play on the Bombers.

Yikes, that definately changes the complexity of this game. Do you have the link or where did you hear this? Thanks in advance.

Spart: Good to see you bud. How have you been and the wife? Drop me an email and let me know whats new.

Ivan: I guess if you like flat numbers, BoDog is a good option for you. But you are right, you have to be on the right side and in tune enough to hit value when you see it.

Chase: Can't really argue with any of your leans. I think week #1 has sharp lines and with so many unknowns, each game is close to a coin flip.

Powerz: Same scenario as Chase. I lean under and see that someone already popped the under 48 so now it is 47.5.

Still researching and I already know one play that will be my largest play this week and the lines are not moving anywhere on this one. I will post once I play. Good luck to all, 48 hours til kickoff.

Toronto has a lot of questions about their offense with so many new players who will they perform? In the long run, I can only assume better than before. I think Joseph will make some plays but I think week #1 will either show how outstanding this new Argo's offense is or it will show that they still need a few more reps and live action games before they get their timing down. Not to mention Winnipeg has a top tier defense themselves.

Argo's is still the best defense in the league and very fast from the Linebackers to their secondary. Where they have always been vunerable is their line. Teams have been able to run on the Argos in the past and what a great formula going against a run first offense.

I know preseason means nothing but both Winnipeg games were under 40 points and 3 out of 4 games went under 40 last season as well. I think the defenses will perform as they are suppose to and I think Argo's will be off a little but will try to balance their attack.

Official Play:

Toronto/Winnipeg Under 45.5 15 units
