Excellent article. It actually applies well to ALL self employed people.

Sounds like Wild Bill understands the "Millionaire Next Door" Concept. Americans have a misconception that Millionaires drive Porches and wear imported Italian suits.

The average millionaire has never spent more than $120 for a pair of shoes. He has never spent more than $25,000 for a car, or more than $300 for a suit.

Wealth accumulators value financial security. They care little abouit impressing others.

There is nothing like being self-employed and knowing you don`t have to wake up and go to work for some fuc-king asshole!

And WildBill really summed it up perfectly, this is something I have always struggled with..... turning gambling earnings into something other than sitting there waiting to go down the drain! Great read!

This is an excellent article.

I have had alot of success the last year or so in poker and gambling and have wasted way too much money at the bar and on fancy clothes... I am not starting to realize I have to save away for rainy days ahead.

good read

No more of waste than anything else...cable TV, movies, video games, concerts, etc.

Chalk it up as "entertainment" budget

Basic Strategy in Nevada.

Bet $100, get some drink tickets. Or put $20 in the bill holder and pretend to play Video Poker. Or go to a Craps table buy in for $100 (green) and pretend you are going to play.

Strong.

Funny though how recently some of the cocktail girls are getting all vigilant about giving out drinks. Recently I went out with my buddy and his new girl is a cocktail girl, she was talking about her job. She was going off on how some guy is pretending to play a machine, but I damn well know he is putting in a dollar and leaving with at least 50 cents, he ain't getting a drink from me. That is the kind of crappy ass attitude that gets old in Vegas, but I see it more and more each day. Same with the routine of pretending to play at the craps table, I have seen bosses tell the girls to cut a guy off, he isn't really playing or not playing enough. They are tightening the screws even on free drinks. Used to not be a thought if you get a free drink in a book, now you have to scout it out first and often put out some action first if you don't want to pay $4 plus a tip for a beer.
