Do we really live in a society that people can't stand Tebow because he believes in God and acts like he has a purpose in life by doing missionary work? You look all over the place and he's hated just because of that. That just boggles my mind.

guy is a class act whether you hate SEC or not

made some bad throws/decisions in the 1st half

wont be an NFL QB, but maybe the best College Player, not QB ever

When it counted tonight he got the big 3rd down conversions and made great decions

L5Y, USC is 4-0 vs SEC, outscoring them 167-48!!!

Dude is 100% class. To hate on him is flatout ignorant.

Somehow I envision him as an NFL TE.

The guy is a winner and one of the best leaders I've ever seen on ANY level. I assume most people hate him out of jealousy for the GOD given talent he has, his attitude in life, and his ridiculously hot girlfriend.

No one doubts that he's a good guy and a good college qb.

What people like me get upset about, is the fact that we are bombarded with the fact that he's God's gift to the world like the fox announcers tonight and ESPN constantly.

Congrats, you performed a circumcision on a poor Philippines boy. Your a good person. Get over yourself. Nobody of his peers outside of the UF team likes him, he's a pompous athlete just like everybody else. Remember the Gator Chomp 15 penalty, yeah that's real class

I'm not sure why the hate on Tebow, he handles himself with much more class then some professional athletes. He has pure talent and maybe it's the exposure that he gets because of it and you don't see him out doing this and that and acting all arrogant so why is there hate? No matter what you do in life it just goes to show, if you're doing something good there will always be haters. Tim Tebow is in tune with his star player in the words of kat williams!

What do you think was worse for Death Eats a Cracker tonight?.. OU's humiliating loss, or Tebow saying..

First off, I would like to thank my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Music to my ears and so many others, fortunately.

When has ESPN/Fox ever even hint at the idea of him being "Gods gift to the world?" Winning the hiesman is going to get you enough pub as is, and being one of the only high profile athletes to do what he does in the offseason just makes him that much more of a story. Sorry if you get sick of it, but at least accept he's a class act and a good person at heart.

Let's keep things in perspective. Tebow is a very good overall player and has an excellent winner's attitude, but he's not going to make any lists of all-time great college players. Think of players like Barry Sanders, Bo Jackson, Herschel Walker, etc. There's a very big gap between that kind of rare player and Tim Tebow.

I can tell you why so many people who aren't Gator fans don't like him -- one of the reasons, at least. He comes across as disingenuous. He wears his religion on his sleeve (well, more accurately, on his eyeblack stickers) then makes a show out of calling attention to himself with his fist-pumping and screaming, and taunting opponents. It's very, very hard for me to like a player like that.

Religious debate? I'm just saying it's a shitty reason for disliking a guy, that's all.

But thanks for being the village idiot for the night. Congrats guy.

Now this is where you and I disagree. You told him to get over himself when he doesn't mention anything about himself. I never heard him say or mention that he was God's gift to the world. He does things because of his background and up bringing. That my friend is why you can be classified as a hater. I haven't seen the kid do not a one thing like a TO or Moss. Just face the fact, whatever good he has done he's always going to have haters. I don't see one person on the board hating on you 5-0 for making thousand of dollars off your bets sir, saying you think you're God's gift to betting and i'm sure that's a good thing in your life.

The first paragraph I agree with to an extent in terms of Tebow not being remembered as an all-time great QB, but player, yes.

The second I don't agree with at all. He's an Evangelical and thus feels it's his *personal responsibility* to spread the Gospel, but he doesn't taunt the opposition. His pumping and screaming is always directed at his own teammates, the guy's just passionate is all.

That's not at all the case. He does that little Gator chomp thing at opponents frequently. Got called for an unsportsmanlike penalty in the last minute or so of the game tonight for doing it, in fact.
