Hey everybody whats up? I have not been on here too much in the last couple months but have some other stuff going on that's more important.anyway yes im here talking about my pirates as they just keep battling everyday to get a win. They are one of the hottest teams right now and they are doing it on the road, which is my point today. They have swept 3 of the last 4 series which were,ARIZONA,SAN DIEGO,and SAN FRANCISCO.Its always tough to win on the road no matter who you are playing but these 3 teams are not to shabby. Both SAN DIEGO and ARIZONA are just under .500 barely and the Giants are 5 games over, but the Padres were supposed to be a team to contend with as they made a lot of pickups in the offseason but have not showed that so far,now its early so i'm not saying they won't wake up i'm just saying at this time they have not found their stride.

So the purpose here is to talk about the growth of the Pirates and i'm going to only focus with their road games. As we all know they were bad for 20 years and finally they have become a baseball team again and have a pretty good one.So with that said, ive been amazed at how many times they have been a road favorite this year and out of 29 road games they have been favored in 15 of them(now this may vary as casino's have slightly different odds on close lines)and their record is 9-6 being a favorite on the road.Hell,as a Pirate fan all my life its pretty nice to see them as favorites on the road again and shows the growth of this team the last 3 years. The whole thing is,they have fun playing the game as they show their emotions on the field and off.Their a tight bunch of players and have everyone's back when needed, and i know i may get some backlash about this, but clint hurdle is one of the best PLAYER MANAGERS in baseball as he really likes all his players and shows it no matter they win or lose,he is just always there for them.

okay, that's it for me as i got my Pirates Pride out and by the way ill be going to see them next friday june 12th as they play the phillies,so if anyone on here is from Pitt and can make it around that day hit me up and say hi and have some baseball talk and something to drink

Clint Hurdle is the best manager in baseball. If they keep him for life they could grow into a power franchise. Right now they win because of deep bullpen that's used properly.

I think about 1.5 games separates them from being the 8th best team in the NL. They'll finish behind the Cards at the end of the season.

Likelihood of making playoffs?

The gold standard is this, however:

Pirates lead Cubs by half a game.

Holding my +2500 Pirates world series ticket...Prediction: STL and PIT NLCS.

Pirates bats have finally woken up...starting pitching/defense is solid as always.

Clint Hurdle = top manager in baseball.

the pirates are not going anywhere until they shore up their defense.once again errors cost them the game last night as walker could not complete the double play by throwing it in the dirt on two hops to first base.he did not even have to hurry the throw either but that is their own worst enemy.walker does this too ofter also and in august and september this kind of play will cost you..........for sure now they will never catch the cardinals

They have a team of destiny vibe to them. I dont have the stats but they seem win all extra inning games and have a boatload of walk off wins.

The Pirates pulled within four games of St. Louis for first place in the NL Central. The Cardinals had their game at Cincinnati suspended in the eighth inning tied 2-2.
