The government now admits they can listen to any conversation anywhere if you have a smart phone.

The bottom line is that it's completely unconstitutional and a complete trampling of freedom to spy on whoever they want without a warrant. And the fact that it's now law that the US gov't can detain and hold anyone they choose for as long as they want for any reason means that this country is only a free country to naive people like you that close their eyes to reality and live in dreamland. You are the one living in a fantasy world, sir.

Where in the constitution does it say anything about the govt listening to cell phones or reading your email? The world has changed. Technology has improved. With great access to information comes great danger and responsibility. If you don't want the government to access your facebook, email, and cell phones, don't use them. It'll be just like the 80's for you, no less privacy for you, and better national intelligence and security for everyone.

My only problem is that the government is pretending that they DON'T do this. Let people know, if you are planning some evil shit, we're going to find you by any means available and bring you to justice. If the government weren't full of cunty people and shitty laws, then we could actually use the NSA for purposes of good and not be fearful of them.

I'm on the side of who cares. These terrorists main goal in life is to kill Americans. It is a kill or be killed world we live in now. The government can listen to all my parlay and teaser loser calls to the Carribean countries all they want. Just smoke out these rats and exterminate them with drones or whatever so Americans can live in a post 9/11 world. That may sound cold but that is the way it is to me.

Sad. People will give up anything if it's all done in the name of "safety." What a joke.

I understand your point on freedom but if you're not doing anything wrong it shouldn't be a big concern. I rather have people listening to prevent bad things from happening. A lot of crazy people out there that need to be watched and listened to.

You wagering on sports from Los Angeles is deemed wrong. I bet you don't consider it wrong, though. That is in essence the problem. When it is decided that what you are currently doing is no longer right, then you will be worried. But that will be too late. Terrorism is wrong. But is dissent?

It's the same with all politicians. Just one of the many distractions in life. I like what Bill Hicks said, [paraphrasing] on the first day of office in a dark and smoking room surrounded by all the industrialist that got you into office, the President is shown footage of the JFK assassination never before seen. "Any questions?"

If your phone is on, they can pinpoint where you are at. Every call roadside assistance where they do this? Downright scary.
