If you crossed a Gopher with a Badger, would you come up with a Groundhog. Yes, No, Maybe?

After seeing their late game let down at Illinois, I like Wisconsin tonight as well. The Gophers made a nice come back to win @ Wisconsin earlier in the year; but I don't think they will get as lucky tonight. Westbrook had his season high 29 points in the first meeting, but I'm sure Wisconsin has been working towards defending him for tonights game. Wisconsin is not the best road team, but they have been playing better lately, winning 6 of their last 7 and making a nice run towards a tournament berth, as well as a bye in the Big 10 Tournament. Minnesota is always a disappointment late in the season, whether its football, or now basketball. I think Wisconsin gets the outright win tonight but this game will be close the whole way. Take the 2 points and Wisconsin.

Wisconsin is on the edge (tournament bid). Their only chance is to finish strong including a strong showing in the confdrence tournament.

I think they will play it close-to-the vest: Under could be a good play. Ryan will be very assertive from the bench this evening (he needs this win).

Both teams need this game equally. Badgers are a game up on the Gophers but MN has a better resume overall. The winner is in good shape to make the tourney the loser is done.

While this is a pretty big game, UW is pretty much a lock for the tournament. Even if they lose this game, they will finish 19-11 (10-8 conference) with a win at home vs Indiana in the final game. Combine that with a tough schedule and ending up in4-6th in the big 10, I think they're in.
Also they have been playign very well lately and the hot teams always have the upper hand on selection sunday.

No opinion on the game except Minnesota did beat Wisconsin at the Kohl Center in overtime...
and Badgers are definitely in the tournament.
