I've always loved "The Gambler"....one of the few gambling movies that's even remotely realistic...but there's one thing I could never understand in the movie...at the end, Axle needs the local team to not cover -7....the movie shows them up 16 with like 1 minute to go which would make it almost impossible for them not to cover -7...then comes a Hollywood procession of consecutive turnovers that bring the final margin down to 6 but it's very unrealistic...I don't know why they didn't make the local team ahead by only 10 or so to give it a more legitimate feel when they end up not covering..but other than that, most scenes are awesome in this flick...
