Read Stephen Nover's interview with Bodog CEO Cole Turner regarding the future of offshore wagering by going to the RX home page at www.theprescription.com.
Also check out articles by Wild Bill, press releases by some RX advertisers, a new feature called "news on the web" and some interesting poll questions - all located on the RX home page!

Starting Jan.1, we will have quiz questions appearing on the home page, with RX golf shirts being given away to the winners.

I personally think Bo Dog will fold.

All anyone ever reads about is how the CEO is travelling here and there and paying for wild parties and kissing ass to whoever he meets. Throwing such money away seems to me to be an alarm of wasteless spending and mis-use of funds. Players should not be jeopardized in this manner.

Personally, I think the book sucks. So called "Live Lines" are set at 5 minute delays (words directly from Marketing person Michelle Wheelhouse)

Spends more money on models, calanders and other wasteful bullshit, I for one would never pay that outfit a penny to fund their egotistical ways.

I prefer a book with a more proessional approach to doing business and getting my business.

Bo-Dog may have name brand, but the services they provide are 3rd rate at best.

Although Roxy is a good guy and I know him personally, he is well settled into his home with his family and lovely wife in Bangkok and has been well removed from gaming...enjoying the much deserved lifestyle he earned after doing so much for the business. Much respect and Kudos to Roxy!

Just one man's opinion.

Good article Stephen. Thanks.

quote:
But Turner believes people in the U.S. always will be able to wager offshore and on the Internet. He holds that belief despite recent government efforts to eliminate payment and transfer methods such as credit cards.

I agree

Ive seen alot of people make good comments about Bodog in the past and since there arent any currently in this thread its overdue for a few.

1) Website is one of the best for tracking scores in relation to the lines for games in progress and for games that have ended hours ago.

2) They have very scalpable lines

3) They offer decent bonuses from time to time

4) They pay superfast via neteller with no phone call

5) No complaints of slow/no pay anywhere that ive looked

I have nothing but good things about to say about Bodog as I found their customer service to be the best I ve ever recieved from a book. I emailed Rob Gillespie at Bodog about opening a new account but due to legality issues wasnt able to open one. Even after he knew I wasnt a possible client he answered a few questions eagerly and told me what to look for in a good book.

Bodog and their aggressive marketing and wild parties is appealing to a very large demographic.

This is the kind of crap I am talking about..honestly..what the hell does this have to do with gaming?

BoDog CEO Leads Exhibition Into Jungles of Cambodia
BoDog CEO Cole Turner is leading an expedition up river into northern Cambodia and into remote jungle areas. He has heard rumors of a cell of Buddhist terrorists who operate up in this remote area. Though they don't grab many of the headlines internationally given that instead of blowing them selves up, they typically just pour gas on themselves and light a match.

El-Folded in the Mist...

Bo-Dog = Mindless waste of funds

Whilst I cannot critise Bodog for trying to get whatever publicity they can - lets face it, it is a cheap form of marketing - I do wonder how interesting readers of the site find it?

I mean, does it add value, and is it a good read? I'm not 100% about the answer to that.

Boddog in my opinion is doing a great job marketing. The quality of their lines and totals are average. I think Bodog is trying to target the 20-30 yr market. Bodog is young, cool, and innovative. The Bodog stories are somewhat entertaining but most of all its something different.

i have no affiliation with this book or any book, just saying what I see.
