I know it's early and a lot can go wrong but it appears Coach Billy Donavan has the "deck" stacked to make a run for the final-four. That was a big win at Lexington last night. This freshman kid that became eligible last month is awesome.

They will WIN it all.. Great guard play and just a great team all around.
Syracuse is to iffy and plays down to an opponent too much.
Arizonia well they are not the same team now

they are a legit contender, but one thing we all should know by now is that anything can happen in a one and done tournament

1 bad game, you're gone. 1 great game by you opponent, you're gone. Foul trouble, a bad call, a sprained ankle or heaven forbid a torn ACL, you're gone

shit happens

I believe you just have to enjoy the ride, only one team gets to cut down the nets and that's a very hard thing to do

Very impessed with Florida yesterday- and a little disappointed in Kentucky. Experience, effort and smart play paid
off for Florida.

I saw Arizona beat Duke early in the year- and was blown away by the number of great players and solid play of
the Wildcats. But with the injury to Brandon Ashley, and after seeing the impressive effort yesterday by the Gators,
I've gotta think they are on the short list of real National Championship contenders.

Florida has a great chance to win it all.

Kentucky has two or three good players and not a chance in hell of winning it all.

Kentucky was up 7 on Florida with several minutes left in the second half yet they don't have a "chance in hell" of winning it?
I think that's a little but short sighted. Florida is certainly a capable team, as are Arizona and Syracuse. However, I think there are 15-20 teams that are all within a couple points of one another this year. The tourney could and should be WIDE open this year.

When Michigan State gets fully healthy, they will be the team to beat in my opinion. A great backcourt, strong inside presence and great tournament coach.

They talk about experience and learning moments? Plus 1 for Kentucky yesterday, that game just helped this team mature one step further. Don't count them out.

Did you ever hear the story about Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier walking by the Islanders locker room after they lost to them in the Cup Finals?

The loss in 1983 was a humbling experience for the up-start Oilers, who were young and confident. However, Gretzky credits that loss with teaching the Oilers what it takes to win. And in fact, the Oilers would ultimately win four of the next five Stanley Cups and five of the next seven.

"We walked by their locker room in the corridor and saw after they won they were too beat up to really enjoy it and savor the victory at that moment," said Gretzky. "We were able to walk out of their pretty much scot free. We had so much respect for the Islanders players and the Islanders teams that we learned immediately you have to take it to another level in order to win a Stanley Cup. And that’s what we did. We learned from it and often credit for the Islanders players and Islanders teams for teaching us exactly what it’s all about and how hard it is to win."

Agree with the assessment of Michigan St. I think Tom Izzo is one of the all time great coaches.

Fla was a great team even before Chris walker became eligible and he still has a way to go before he starts making a big impact, he only got 2 min last night and finished with a 0 stat line. Now Dorian Finney smith the transfer from Virginia tech has made a huge impact on this team. Scottie wilbeken has played great this year and has stepped up and made big playes when needed and of course Prather has improved so much from last year but I think the key for Florida is patric young. They need to go through him more, which will open up shooters like Frazier. Fla was great from the free throw line last night, they can't be awful from the line and be a final four team, they also need to shoot the ball better.

Michigan State (Izzo) are always perennial contenders in Big-10 and NCAA tournament Basketball. I'm baffled by that (home) loss to Nebraska today ??????
