Everybody thought the fix talk was a bunch of bullshit in the NBA as well until some truth came out. I'm not saying this particular game was fixed, but 5 turnovers from one guy and 28 points scored by Buffalo off of fumbles? Who is the dude that said Buffalo exposed Ball State's defense?! No they didn't, bro. Buffalo's defense outscored their offense. Let's not forget that Ball St ranked near the top of the Country in not allowing turnovers and then tonight happens. Their all conference center was also a part of two fumbles and a freaking false start on 3rd and Goal from the 2 yard line! How does the Center get a false start penalty? He's the guy snapping the god damn ball. Throw in an offsides penalty on Buffalo on a 4th and 2, a no replay on a Ball St TD and a reversed call on an iffy Ball St catch....and something is rather silly in this game.
Forget about this game for a second, though. If you seriously think that some of these games are not fixed by a player or two, you are flat out silly. You don't think this stuff goes on? Yeah, right. And I suppose athletes getting money, cars etc. from the school they choose doesn't happen either. Riiiiiight. A poor college kid whose never had anything won't shave a few points or drop a few fumbles after having $50K or more waived in front of his face. Ooooooookay.
Jesus, if you seriously capped this game well, you would have seen Buffalo was the right side. Your own fault you jumped blindly with Ballbreaker.
exactly....but of course those of us that backed the Bulls b4 the game didnt know what we were talking about:nohead:It looked like the Mac mafia got to Nate Davis, if you believe that the game was fixed. The Mac has a history of point shaving and fixing games, so it is not to far fetched of an idea. Just some food for thought.
You mean the refs not Davis. Lewis clearly scored a TD before the fumble that changed the whole game. I also liked how they didn't know the rule when the ball hits the ground even if he calls for the fair catch he can pick it up and run. MAC refs are fucking horribe.
Yes, this does happen on rare occasions. But, not when ou're in the national spotlight with hopes of landing a multi-million dollar contract on the line. No bookie will cover that. Case closed.
There was no fix.
If there was a fix, Ball St. would have won and not covered the 15 spot.
Networks, sponsors etc. etc. will not make nearly as much money with Buffalo in a high profile bowl game as it would have with Ball State.
As far as the money line goes, anybody laying -600, or whatever ridiculous number you laid on Ball State m/l, has rocks in your head and deserve to lose.
Bottom line, Ball State sucked monkey ass lsat night.
Deal with it.
