The Falcon's Computer Program Plays for June

Love to see the program select Vancouver tonight. Seems as though everyone is all over Boston and the line has jumped after the thrashing handed out in Gm 3 and 4. I still believe Vancouver is the better team and if there is any sport where being at home in the playoffs seems to mean less, it is the NHL.

Back in 1998-99, I decided if i made 50K I would head to Vegas to give it go. I made the 50K but did not go. It was probably for the best as I was young and stupid - I would have been eaten alive I feel like I am a much better investor at this point with sports, but still know that there can be large swings. I admire you for honing a program to help take emotion out of it. Perhaps we can chat down the road.

thanks Mosi... i still think this is going to be a great program, its just going to take some time to prove it... then at that point alot of doors will open...

i am in the drivers seat right now... my program is up $2720 since May 11... i would have to lose 14 straight plays to be even, otherwise i am playing on the bookies money... i bet $200 per game... for the rest of my life, i plan on playing on their money... this is merely the beginning...

I remember you said the program picked the canucks to win the cup. Just curious how favorable they are for game 7. Do you plan on hedging your series bet at all?

And I know everyone is excited about football season just around the corner. Any ideas if/how this system will play into that?

tim: i am not hedging the series bet with vancouver at all... i am also not adding to it... as for football... i am not playing preseason nfl (should there be any)... i will be ready for both the college and nfl season openers. the plan is to play the 4 TOP college games each saturday (2 day and 2 evening) along with the 3 TOP nfl plays on sundays..

On a side note:

My program went (6-1)(+9.50 units) for the first round of Interleague play, lets hope for similar results this weekend.

Mosi: i didnt count it in this record.. it was not part of a computer program, it was merely a value play on my part..

i wont be playing any more college world series plays.... since i have went almost exclusively to working with the computer program, i simply do not handicap games any longer...

my opinion (for me) is that its a waste of time... i had much rather punch in the data, play the selected teams and go do something else... i spend about 30 minutes with this in the mornings and hardly look at it, the remainder of most days..

At least you're able to tread water so far this month. Losing about 1/3 unit a day will keep you afloat until the inevitable hot streak comes your way again.

I would think Boston would have even a bigger spread at home versus the super weak hitting Padres

pappy: thanks..... isnt that the way it is in almost all forms of investing.... you make the bulk of your money in short bursts, then you tread water the remainder of the time.... that can also be related to poker or trading...
"the one who loses the least" often times is the winner...

Metfan: miller making his first start of season, did not help the case.... padres are much better road team (16-17) on the season and the line is almost (2:1)... grant it boston should win but i dont think its a wise play...
