Scott Baker been brilliant at home, winning five straight outings at Target Field and not allowing an earned run in the last four. He has a 0.22 ERA in his past six home starts, walking four and striking out 40. Just Curious how any computer program could go against these numbers as its TOP play?????? Give me some insight here i know the twins suck but those numbers are ridiculous!! Not to mention last time out vs sox he pitched 8 innings only allowing two solo homers in a 9-2 win.

It betting sports based off the numbers was that easy to pick a winner we all be rich and retired.

Fade or Follow. If the numbers are so great for you then bet Twins.

And he can't give you insight as he mentioned numerous of times he do 0 handicapping on the games.

Bol with what you decide to play.

want to mention that there is zero handicapping involved in any of the selections. my personal opinion is not involved whatsoever..

good luck with your wagers

Falcon

Doubt he can say much about it but i could be wrong unless it pertains to how the computer comes up with the picks.

Well I think mjh has a valid concern. Sometimes falcon does give his reasons (though he doesn't have to). We have a pitcher who runs hot and cold versus a pitcher on a solid streak.

I'm going to play it, because other weird plays have come through. But would like to know that the data is sound.

about all i will say, is the data is cumulative, updating each day..

as far as this game tonight, i dont blame anyone for not playing it... there have been many times that i have not liked the play but i have quit trying to outguess the program.

im at the point now, id rather lose with the programs best play, than to try and out guess it.... there have been times that ive done that in the past..

ill give you an example.. on july 28th, i went with arizona (-1.05)... this was acutally the 2nd best play.. just so happens on that day i did not like the TOP play (forgot exactly why but i think it was pitching matchup).... and as some of you know, we went on to lose the arizona game and the TOP play won easily.. i said then, that was it for me trying to outguess it..

good luck with whatever you wager, today is just one day out of many and boston happens to be the TOP program play and pitching may be less of the equation on what determines a play than many of you know..

JETE: dont worry about it, everyone is entitled to their opinion..

however, as someone mentioned, this program does zero handicapping and im not going to pretend that it does. i think this program can beat handicapping over the long haul..

this program will not come close to winning every day but right now im pretty confident in attaining these numbers...
900 plays per year (all sports included)
60% Winners, against an average vig of (-1.10)...

if i can hit those numbers long term or come reasonably close, im all set...

good luck with your wagers

very curious now falcon as you've said many times it doesn't handicap.. is your program a simulator?..... otherwise how could it project a winner without handicapping

The pick makes sense despite the pitching matchup. Teams like the Red Sox commonly win 90-100 games even though their pitchers don't always match up well to the opposition's pitcher. They find ways to win. They produce runs consistently. The Twins are sending their best pitcher, but this Twins team has found ways to lose unlike Twins' teams of the past. If you look at the Red Sox, Yankees, Phillies, etc. this year, you'll find that they often do beat good pitching. Not only that, but teams like the Red Sox have an energy that is borne of being in the pennant race. The Twins, at this point, have the motivation to beat one of the best teams in baseball at home. But this is not football. Baseball is a day to day marathon where teams are more on an even keel and don't get "up" for games like in other sports. There are exceptions to this, but as for tonight's Sox vs. Twins game, the Red Sox are a decent play.

Hi It appears tha the last 3 series before the cards on SUnday were all the same team and thus one could assume that whoever is pitching is not a strong part of the program. It also appears that it takes time to build a base to allow the program to be more efficent. sort of like artificial intelligence. that may be one of the reasons that the interleague plays wer difficult as the teams have no history against one another and are in differant leagues. I know SSI for many years and he has spent years trying to come up with something that does not require judgement by individuals. i was thinking of betting Minn tonight as I thoughtthe sox might be having a let down after the series with the yanks and the computer program i think makes no allowances for that. so except it for what it is and if it makes money so be it if your not happy dont bet it.
ssi when you switch to football and hockey hopefully you will combine your results by sport as opposed to by month as your doing know. you might look at randell the handle for the way he shows his results by sport and by one month and by season sort of easier to follow. good luck my man. heart222

Falcon, looks like you have quite the following now, for better or for worse. Just remember, never let 'em get you down.

Continued success with the program.

My best,

So much for the no earned run allow streak and era just raised.

4 hits already

Baseball is the hardest to break down when it comes to numbers cause one day an ace looks shitty and next day a bum looks cy young
