Its hard enough to beat the linesmaker over the long haul, but what I see as the EXTRA advantage is the fact we can`t cash our ticket at the end of the day with the money in our pockets.

We have all been there , we have a great day, our BIG play cashes , we log in see that new gaudy figure next to our name...

So whats the next thing we do, we play the late night Pac Ten game

just for the fun of it right? Of course we`ll just throw a few bucks on it, so we can enjoy the late game.

This scenario happens so often and its really one of the ways to go broke! I know because I have done this so many times , playing that late game JUST BECAUSE....

We don`t preserve our winnings the way we should and I think the MAIN reason is because at the end of the day , the money isn`t in our pocket! I`ve seen this happen to friends so often, I`ve done it , we`ve all done it...

I always get that feeling sending money to the book , when you call in that control number its almost as if the clerk is saying "thanks for the MONEY"

I`d likw to see a statistic on this...

What is the percantage of time a player sends in a dime and gets his dime and another dime back? Maybe 10% I wonder...

Not getting the money in our pockets at the end of the day is sich a huge extra advantage for these offshore books! They know it too!

The advantage they have is that all the degenerates can play there.

Exactly right Journey, exactly right........In person with a ticket and real cash is totally different than online. At times, your online balance can seem as if its just some video game number or such.

No doubt its an added advantage too Hache...If your at a sportsbook in Vegas and say you had a dime and turned it into 5 dimes rather quick , its less likely you would be as careless...Its alot easy I think to click and pick with no cash leaving your pocket!

Sometimes players lose the money this was before they even reralize it. ADVANTAGE OFFSHORE

I assume a high percentage of players have or do experience the "Just because".

I have long since stopped this & find that after a small period of DT's, the ease in which we can cease to wager "just because" becomes a "no problem".

Play or Pass. There are benefits to both.

That's where money management comes into the equation. You would NEVER try to double your money at the blackjack table, why would you try to do it at a sportsbook?
If you are grinding out a nice winning percentage over the sessions, then yes the "cost" of withdrawl may keep your money in the book longer than you'd like and at a higher balance.
Control and money management.
