This is a post from the Costa Rica forum, from a BoS employee enraged that he and 1200 other ex-workers are being stiffed out of money owed, and promised to pay by early November. Bos is closing in CR, and everyone, employees and depositors alike, are permanently out of their bucks.

watch how much money you keep at your sportsbook

Let this be a lesson to all of you about this industry some can and will steal your money not saying it's right it isn't but, for those who had huge balances I mean four and five figures as some where claiming why didn't you pull the money out when you have a profit? I was fortunate enough to get paid by BOS for my deposit and some of my winnings but, these Sportsbooks are not banks they are not insured by anything or anyone I feel for sorry for the employees how would you like to work and not get paid for it? I would be peeved and I can't blame the employees for being angry or the customers whose money is now gone but, we should all email BOS and ask why couldn't they have have been more honest with the customers about what was going on? rather then stringing us along wonder what the government will do now...

This should be interesting. I think the Rx was really counting on the BOS not stiffing everybody. The Rx has done a good job so far ignoring the issue and keeping the flames down.

This should be a lesson to all..Everybody will be stiffed..thats a fact of life..regulate it..tax it..bring it back to the U.S...all will prosper..what about Antigua..they licensed BOS..whats their position??..If a governing body doesnt respond after licensing this book, where do you go from there??

The Rx has routinely answered questions on this matter. We have also taken the time to collect all player information and have been in discussions verifying account info with BOS management.

The Rx WILL pay all those who qualify if and when we have official knowledge that BOS is not going to pay.

imho, the ultimate fate of BoS will have to wait until Carruthers trial /deal is finalized. Its clear (to me anyway) that if they (BoS) loses the trial and has to pay the fine they will try to do that and we all know there is not going to be a cent left after they pay that hefty fine.

All the actions that BoS has taken would tell me that they do care about what the legal outcome could be over there and as such their actions will be dependent on what happens in Missouri courts

they DO NOT care. Nothing they have done has indicated other than stalling for the big stiff.
If they cared Big G would not be in a spyder hole.
If they cared cars, computers, furniture, client lists fire sold within HOURS of Caruthers arrest would never have happened.
If they cared shutting down the web site and denying access by its clients would not have happened.
If they cared the brits would not have high tailed back to England within HOURS of Caruthers arrest.
If they cared mass firing employees with vauge we need 90 days to pay you guys and no room for discussion would not have happened.

you are correct about them using Caruthers trail as an excuse to stall.

I am not sure if my point was misunderstood, THEY DO care in order to save their asses from further legal issues (in the UK for example). Whether or not they have money to pay the customers or employees is at this point irrelevant IMO. You can't steal all the $ and then pretend that you are not going to be sued for your actions as a director of a public company (mind you that many of them are UK citizens and they can be sued there)

The outcome of this is that the courts are going to say "the amount of the fine is 'x' billion dollars" and they are going to say "this" (shows balance on accouns) "is all we have" end of story

They are covering their behind and no money is going anywhere until all the dust is settled (And everything indicates that there wont be any money left at that point)

no one will get anything

according to the information i have from some people who is still involved with the company (those who still "work there") i must say that no one should expect any money- customers or ex employees- because at this point i can tell you that no of the so called board of directors is stepping to at least say that they will comply with the us court.........as a ex employee all this situation pisses me off because neither the cust nor the ex emp have to pay for this.........

Exactly. I guess you could consider money being paid to lawyers, remaining directors and eventually to the U.S. government as "stealing", but this scam is being perpetrated the official "corporate/government" way. In the end they are insolvent, although I don't believe that erases any severance claims in Costa Rica.

That they did not maintain an operational presense, and at least continue to service their non-U.S. clients shows a real lack of balls. What was the b*llsh!t they said about expanding into Asia??

What's funny about this, is IQL is toast too.

Yes. Something like 15X rollover, but hell, at least you have a shot to get your money back.

US bettors are :nohead:
