This issue is a business related episode where both parties had decisions to make and the timeframe seemed short. The decisions were made and the posters were in a loop that we are privileged to be. Irregardless, G&J is here and it does appear a service that will be competitive. I wish all well. Let's see what the future holds.

General

Just so you know, irregardless is not a word. Only reason I bring it up is that I used it in a business meeting one time. After, a friend told me of my misuse of the language.

No harm intended, just trying to be helpful.

Yep.

A friend of mine's wife nailed me on that one at a party years ago, in front of a bunch of other friends no less.

She was right. I was wrong.

I did nail her sister 2 weeks later, so I guess it was a push........

Websters disagrees and says it is a word...

Main Entry: ir·re·gard·less
Pronunciation: "ir-i-'gärd-l&s
Function: adverb
Etymology: probably blend of irrespective and regardless
Date: circa 1912
nonstandard : REGARDLESS
usage Irregardless originated in dialectal American speech in the early 20th century. Its fairly widespread use in speech called it to the attention of usage commentators as early as 1927. The most frequently repeated remark about it is that "there is no such word." There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose. Its reputation has not risen over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance. Use regardless instead.

Mind you these clowns at Websters seem to think "anyways" is a word, and I stick to my guns, it is not.

As long as the betting books on the screen continue to manipulate the screen numbers Don Best is going to be the number one line service.

The people in the know realize how it works and what is going on.
