You've seen this movie played out too many times. Team A highly ranked and looking good. Team A looks great on offense and is prepared to have a shot at the National Championship. Team A is legit.

Team B is mediocre but motivated. Team B is a decent team that has looked very good at times and very bad at times but at the moment, have been solid. Team B has a solid head coach and a ferocious defense. Team B is playing at home and ready to play on prime time. Team B is ready to show the world they are back.

Take the Texas Longhorns +7 against TCU. I can honestly see a SU Texas 14-point win. It wouldn't shock me one bit.

Don't get me wrong, I like TCU but TCU can also play like they did in Kansas and this Texas D is just a tad bit better than the Kansas D. Also, TCU was lucky to get out of Morgantown with a win. This TCU team is not the same on the road and Texas can bring it.

Texas has beaten bad and mediocre teams but cant seem to beat the good and great teams. Will that trend continue?
Texas is definitely on the upswing. Their defense is playing much better and the offense is starting to gel a bit more. The running game is improving and Swoopes is gaining comfort with the WRs. But again, it's come against teams that are....MEH. TCU is far from that.

Certainly plausible that Texas continues to play great defense and their offense does just enough here to do well against TCU, especially with an extra week to prepare

As a homer Longhorn fan, I hope you're right.

This line does look a bit inflated(my # is TCU -4) as the Horns have been on an upswing winning and covering 3 games in a row, one of those as a dog against West Va. Something that does concern me though is that TCU has been stewing over being dropped out of the top 4 for close to two weeks now after that debacle at Kansas and this will be their last chance to impress the committee in a nationally televised spotlight game against Texas. TCU does have one more game after this, although just against Iowa St and there is no Big 12 Championship game as well. That impress the committee motivation line of thinking did not work out so well last week in the case of Baylor and Ohio St., the latter of which certainly struggled against lowly Indiana. I guess one could also argue the revenge case for TCU as well, since Texas beat the Frogs 30-7 last year at TCU.

"I can honestly see a SU Texas 14-point win." So you're assuming Texas can score 14 in this game....hmmmmmm.

TCU just gave up 30 to Kansas, so Texas should be able to get 14. Texas has quietly been playing pretty well. Think there is a real chance for a SU Texas win.

Did you know Texas players has A.D.D (attention deficit disorder)?. Reason why they play well in the 1h and not so much 2h...lol. Like your play but gonna play 1h more

Not a bad idea, because IF Patterson has a shot for "style points" at the end of the game I can definitely imagine the scenario whereby he takes them in an effort to impress the committee and stick it to big bro Texas in one shot.

Dunno for sure but I have heard that if you lick the back of certain Horn Frogs you start hearing all your music real differently

We suggest some Alan Parsons if you still have a working turntable down south there

Kansas benefitted from some early game buzzz and some defensive luckery.

Horns are not Bama whose D slaps people silly in Home games.

TCU 31 TEX 21

When you play S. Miss, F. Atlantic and W. Carolina at home, you tend to slap people around defensively.

In this case, may I suggest a little Pink Floyd - "Dark Side of the Moon".
