2012 MLB O/U Record: 335-308-40, -$1,614 (Was making much bigger bets earlier in the year, with countless fluke bad breaks, obviously. I also undoubtedly lead the country in half-run/one-run losses)
2011 MLB O/U Record: 366-270-42, +$1,104
Fine 1-0-1 performance yesterday, considering most of my focus was directed towards last night’s Broncos/Falcons over, which I wisely bought down to 48 to score a push. If only I could buy runs in baseball over/unders… and yes, I know they allow you to do that on 5dimes, but I don’t like going through sites like that because they can be such a hassle, especially when I have a perfectly good set-up with my bookie on ace23.com, hence why I stay there. But yeah, that’s the advantage football over/unders arguably has over any sport is that you can buy points anywhere, as opposed to basketball over/unders where buying points isn’t as significant because there’s countless more points involved, and apparently, just about every place doesn’t give you that option for baseball and hockey, unfortunately. Oh well, it’s Tuesday, meaning it’s time to put all my concentration back into baseball for the next several days (I don’t usually take the NFL Thursday night game), so let’s see what we have to work with…
Fernando Abad vs Kyle Lohse OVER 8/8.5 - Price TBD
I'll be waiting on this one to see if the line goes down to 8.5, like it should, considering Kyle Lohse is involved, but even if it doesn't, I'll still go for it. Yes, Lohse is very good, as evident in how he has sustained his beautiful numbers (14-3, 2.81 ERA, 1.09 WHIP), but all I would really want from Houston's offense is a couple of runs anyway. They've been playing much better lately over the past week-plus (6-4 in their last 10), and they've beat some pretty elite pitchers over that stretch (Johnny Cueto! Roy Halladay!), so they're certainly capable of scratching across at least a few against Lohse at this point in time. In any case, this over is all about getting my anticipated dreadful performance out of Fernando Abad. If you've seen a significant amount of Astros games over the past few years, and you've seen this kid pitch out of the bullpen, you would realize that he is as ordinary and ineffective as they get. He's not good. St. Louis is good against left-handed pitching, and given the importance of this game to them, they will not squander any easy opportunities as it pertains to gaining ground in the Wild Card race, thus meaning their offense will play with a huge amount of urgency and strike Abad as much as they can. They can be a grind-em-out lineup, and I think that approach can lead to a nice boatload of runs for them tonight.
**May Add More Over/Under(s) Throughout Day Leading Up To Gametime**
**Remember that if you have a question concerning an over/under, I will gladly assist you with it if I see it before the game starts, even the ones I don't bet on, as I have at least a small vibe on every single over/under from studying this stuff every single day and night**
