Yup, the Carolina Hurricane Cup run for this year will come to an abrupt end following their upcoming eastern conference final series against the Pissburgh Penguin team(s). There is no way on earth the Canes will be able to conquer the Pens and the accompanying officials---no way!!!
How can anyone possibly think that they, Carolina, will prevail after what transpired in the recent series between Pissburgh and Washington?
As one-sided as the officiating was during that seven-game series, the Capitals still managed to take both opposing opponents to the max. Even with home ice supposedly to their advantage, the Caps were still victimized by the referees a total of, get this, 34 times while the Penguins were graciously assessed a meagre 19 times, the end result enabling Pissburgh to go on the powerplay 15 extra times throughout the seven games.
Unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable.
Now with Pissburgh fortunate enough to have home ice advanatge in the uncoming series against Carolina, it would be absolutely and utterly ridiculous to think that the Canes have a snowballs chance in hell of defeating both Pissburgh teams.
It just ain't going to happen people, just ain't going to happen.

How long will it take before you learn Ivan?

Your supposed to "learn" from your past mistakes. Not add to them. Not my words but, I believe that's been defined as a fool in many textbooks.

Me thinks Carolina is a live dog at +170 for the series.

you obviously didn't watch the series. pittsburgh dominated the whole series thus leading to more penalties being called on the caps. do you really think the nhl is trying to fix things so crosby & the pens get to the finals. why? to boost ratings? if that were the case the rangers & hawks would be there every year. when your sport is on versus it's only real fans of the sport watching besides the fans of the two cities involved. the nhl isn't going to attract any casual fans like football or baseball's yankees. 95% of fans watching the cup would watch it if it were columbus & carolina involved. it's not like throwing crosby out there is going to get people to watch like lebron vs kobe in the nba. 75% of the people i know that don't watch hockey also don't even know who sidney crosby is. i guess something must have went wrong with plan to have the refs decide the outcome of the playoffs when tampa & calgary played or carolina & edmonton or anaheim & ottawa.

I love these dumb stupid statements people like you make. Ok, all teams should have even chances at the power play. Every game, all season.....doesnt matter if one team slashes, hooks, and roughs. They should call the same amount of penalties on the other team. Brilliant thinking.... You are right.

And who the hell is named Ivan and lives in Montreal. Everyone up there should have the name Jacque. See how dumb your point of view sounds now Drago?
