The Rangers schedule was extremely weak over the last 3 months or so. They beat the teams they should have beaten but still struggled against the other playoff teams even during their hot streak. Buffalo is definitely the better team and should win the series - but we all know anything can happen in the NHL playoffs

Anything CAN happen-However for the 1st time in a long time there is something SPECIAL brewing in Professional Sports in Buffalo--Harrington claims to have the "pulse" on Buffalo sports-well that CAN'T be the case here. Looking past emotion-Buffalo is the more talented team here-better coached. They have proved this from GAME 1 of the season with their opening undeafeated streak. Rangers are hot--I can see a no play if you don't like the odds--but if the Sabres keep Jagr off the PP they will be in great shape.
BETTER DAYS..................

I agree Whale. Honestly I would be fairly shocked if the Rangers won this series.

You got a shot betting against the Sabres only if the team playing them is the DUCKS

Harry,
After 40 years of Buffalo not winning crap (or how ever long it's been), would it "be worth it" to lose every round betting against the Sabres to see a championship finally arive in the Queen City?

Yeah they are 13-2-1 in their last 16 games

Someones gotta start doing his job better, i mean how dare them lose two games:monsters-

I am sure the Sabres would have gone undefeated in the EASY schedule

Rangers needed those 16 games to MAKE the playoffs-they were in a dogfight until the end. People are talking like they are some perennial powerhouse. Lace em up and bring it--but you better come with more than 1 line....

yea man like whatrs wrong with you? i know you are a good capper but why does everyone hate the sabres? they will NOT lose, i guarantee it lol

.... because they're drama-queens who take dives and act and bitch and moan and cry ... I have no problem rooting for a hockey team ... I am just not into watching drama-queens for 3 hours

... and it isn't only me who accuses the Sabres of diving ... the New England TV announcers have said it and Boston Bruins players have said it too ... and I would bet those guys know more than anyone on this board (including the know-it-alls)

Let's get this straight, Boston is "bitch(ing) and moan(ing) and cry(ing)" about getting their ass*s handed to them by the Sabres therefore the Sabres are a team that likes to "bitch and moan and cry."

Buffalo's record against Boston, for those that didn't know -

2006-2007 6-2 (2 OTL)
2005-2006 7-1

In the past 2 years Buffalo has take an incredible 28 of 32 points from Boston, going 13-1-2. No wonder the Bruin faithful is bitter  :lolBIG:

Something SPECIAL?, c'mon this is weak. Maybe there's something SPECIAL happening in New York, Ottawa or Jersey too.

Too many here drinking that Sabre kool-aid :lolBIG:

The Bruins lose to everyone ... what's new?

I can stomach losing to a REAL hockey team like Ottawa or the Rangers ... it just sucks when you lose to drama queens ...

Over the last 3 months of the regular season, their record was 5-11 against playoff teams and 3 of those wins came against the Islanders. Like I said, they are playing well right now but aren't good enough to beat Buffalo. You could see their beatdown of Atlanta comin from a mile away but Buffalo is far from Atlanta.

Sean Avery announced to the NY Post that we was going to try to hurt the Sabres.

This is going to be an ugly series. Hopefully the Goose, Paul Gaustaud, will be ready soon -- he brings much needed grit. Losing Mike Grier might prove to be the biggest loss of last year for Buffalo.

I would answer yes to this....but I never bet meaningful buffalo games...for or against....but I am glad harrington is trying it for all of us
