WASHINGTON — If the Senate doesn't pass a bill to cut global warming, Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer says, there will be dire results: droughts, floods, fires, loss of species, damage to agriculture, worsening air pollution and more.

She says there's a huge upside, however, if the Senate does act: millions of clean-energy jobs, reduced reliance on foreign oil and less pollution for the nation's children.

If we don’t pass the stimulus, the world as we know it, will cease to exist. However the huge upside is unemployment won’t go above 8 percent.

barbara boxer, or in this case, christ, has been overpraising herself for years. not as bad as feinstein (i wish the voters of CA would wake up and vote her out), but if anyone here calls her a "babe", i may get sick.

she makes it sound like if the senate acts, we will never have problems ever again. @)

Although there isnt i iota of proof of ANY her " downsides" there is proof that EVERY"upside" she mentions is dead wrong....millions of green jobs is bullshit, nobody ill pay American wages to bild anything that can be made in China so the only jobs created will be government jobs, studies have already shown they will INCREASE the foreign oil dependance and im pretty sure America uses the same air as the rest of the world so cleaning ours wont accomplish shit.......The lady is a liar but then she knows that.
This is all about worshipping their god "mother earth" ,nothing at all more than that...
