The books had to get killed today.

I am a local book and trust me- I didn't come close to being slaughtered. The parlays with KC well offset the teasers with KC.
Quite the opposite of being slaughtered, I am going to sleep well- will sleep even better if Jax finds a Flutie play tonight

I know a couple people that run the numbers at a few of the big places they said they had a bad weekend.

with sd covering I would have to assume books are not doing as bad as people may think only books know how well they are doing!

keith, either you are blessed or you have ignorant gamblers, either way good for you

consensus winners today: baltimore, seattle, no, houston, philly, cincy, chicago, stl, & den

for whatever reason they stayed off of indy and nyg

like i said, congrats and you should be buying your players their xmas gifts early

Niner and jersey, i have to agree with both of you. This can't be a great year for the books with all of these favs winning. I mean 7 of 7 on Friday alone, this can't be great for them. I am sure that books count on a certain number of upsets each weekend including knocking out teasers to lace their pockets. those games have been rare this year.

Correct winninghand, you expect to win 3 out of 4 of those lopsided matchups (can you say public 90% on TB tonight), and if you don't, it can get ugly in a hurry.

If you are a book and are even, or up a shade this year, you should consider yourself lucky.

I can remember when these Sun. and Mon. games were tough - now you just need to take fav & over, and you will cash.

It's sad to think that being even could be a good thing, but that is the case here.

Will be finding out real soon who the books with deep pockets really are.And I have a feeling there are going to be some real surprises.

Does CBS still send out an email saying how the house did? Or is that Bodog?

Yes, I get one for every email address I ever used to email them. They don't miss a email when it comes to getting you on their list.

If the books are losing, then the players are winning. There is good here. Hopefully all of the books can pay.

Counting Turkey day, dogs go 8-6 ATS this week , don't know where you guys get your information.

Jax and SD were probably the biggest decisions today and books got em both.

Were books really that heavy on TB?

80% of the people I know were all over Jax(myself included), and tonight I saw that Covers had a writeup that basically said that you were a f'ing idiot if you were going to take TB.

Sharps were on Jax, Squares on TB.

Depends on the type of business the book caters to..

Line went to 3-125 and -130 at some of the big shops.

Gotta believe most of the money was on TB.

Pancho,
Seems that this year unless all the dogs are barking there is always someone who will come along starting a thread proclaiming how "the books got slaughtered " every week.
Even on the weeks were books did extremely well someone always posts how bad the books must be doing. It is en vogue this year.
