Once again...

I am trying to offer advice for some of the people who have just started gambling and are looking for an offshore book. The advice to them is not to choose a book soley based on the Bonus they offer (however appetizing they seem).

Obviously for the professional gamblers in here(like Halifax and Igetp2s) this advice is merely garbage. So ignore it and keep on beating the books.

MadCapper, thanks for the compliment but I am not even close to a professional.

All I can say is that my Gamblers Avenue matchplay bonus of 445 both hit with (2) 222 underdog parlays both hitting and from their turned in up a notch or 2, I'll be dancing again tonight if Oakland wins, as I played them straight for a nickel and as a parlay with Texas for 250

The matchplay has done well for me.

Madcapper:

Your post would be much better if you completely deleted the middle paragraph.

Nothing wrong with getting a nice bonus,as long as you do your homework on the book. Most bettors you bet on football are going to play the whole season anyway,so a 5x rollover will be done by week three or even faster.
The book must be willing to pay off winning[no 30 daY wait bullsh*t]and must be open atleast 5 years.
Now get back to capping the bases

Funny thing about bonuses is they do not turn a loser into a winner. If a man has been losing for the last 5 years and he sends 10k to get 11.5k on a 15% bonus he is not suddenly in a win situation. He hasn't gone from a longshot to a favorite by picking up that bonus. Sharps will win without a bonus and squares will lose with them, end of story.

PS - that doesn't mean they are "worthless" but it does mean it is silly to send big bucks to a risky shop to get a big bonus thinking it will convert you into a winner. At best it will prolong the inevitable. If you really want to win spend some time learning your craft instead of shopping for bonuses. Just my 02 cents.

Heres the question...

Would a first time offshore gambler looking for a book, sign up with a sportsbook that offers a 20% load up bonus and a 15% reload bonus with a 15 cent line or the book that has no Bonus and 10 cent lines?

For some reason I feel that the newbie would sway towards the book with the bonus.

I know plenty of people that tell me, "What's the big deal with these 10 cent lines? So big deal if you can get the underdog for +154 instead of +149? What's the big deal! Thats just a 5 dollar difference on a 100 dollar bet."
These are the same people who will run to the books with bad lines and a great bonus because they just don't get it.

I hope this thread can open at least one of their eyes
