is about to occur in exactly 2 hrs and 29 minutes. Is anyone else as excited as I? This game could easily break the record tonight for highest ratings on any baseball game ever.

Can it get any better folks? Game 7, Pedro vs Rocket. Pedro vs Yankee fans and Zimmer. Red Sox vs Bambino Curse. Could be filled with brawls too..

I haven't looked this forward to a game in quite some time. I will un plug all my phones tonight. I am not answering the door for no none, except for my pizza delivery man. I've got the heat blasted in my mothers basement because it's freezing in Montreal and I expect to be naked tonight . I will be sitting relaxed on my desk chair with only my pc on so i can post. I've got my remote handy with me so i can turn during commercials and watch my hockey games. I've got the red wine ready.. I am polishing off a 1/2 gallon of red wine by myself for this game. I even had my lady friend tell me she's coming over tonight to spend some time with the sick one, and I told her in these exact words.. YEAH RIGHT (not tonight baby!!!) I do NOT want to be bothered tonight while I watch this game.. I lied to her and told her I'm busy, and that I'd see her at midnight (i feel bad). It's just that she talks all the time during the game, and I can never enjoy a good game with her here.. I only invite her when I don't watch an important game, plus, she's bad luck too. Everytime she talks, something bad happens, like the other team hits a homer. I want to be alone this evening and not miss a pitch..

I will be cheering for the Yankees.. What about you boys? Who will everyone be cheering for? I want to see the Bambino's curse continue its legacy..

Is everyone else as excited as I about this game?

Who will win boys? Boston OR NYY..

Lets go Yankees..

Hey sick, a few Montreal questions..

1)Do you speak fluent French? I assume you are from Montreal..

2)Do you go to Expos games?

3)I love PFK, something about it is better than the KFC down here in the states and i go out of my way to go to this place whenever i am in Canada, of course PFK is only in Quebec.

4)You seem like the exception to the rule in loving American sports, How do you watch College football/basketball up there? I spent a week last November in Ottata for work at Certin and i about pulled my hair out, all that was on TV in my hotel room was hockey and an assorted NBA game! its like College sports didn't exist LOL
5)When i was in Ottawa i went to this deli for lunch like 3 times cause it was so good, Dunn's famous Montreal Deli, are you familiar with it? AWESOME chicken club...

GO RED SOX, Perdo backed by Wakefield will do us justice tonight!!

Imagine if you were me and a die-hard fan since 1967. Constantly listening to every RedSox game I could on the radio in rural Iowa. Wearing number 8 all through my baseball career. Lots of heartache.

I have absolutely no idea who's going to win, but I know I want the Bosox for 2 reasons: There isn't a team on this Earth I wouldn't cheer for vs. the Yankees, and for the sake of this bullshit Bambino curse that delights some erstwhile Yankee fans, I want the Red to drive a stake through Steinbrenner's heart and remove it for good (both the curse AND the heart).

If I've left any lingering doubt about who I'll be rootin' for, my humblest apologies

brock baby,

yes, i speak fluent french.. I go to expos games all the time kiddo.. I went to about 15 games this year.. were you kidding about the PFK comment??
icon_biggrin.gif
PFK by the way, in case you Americans don't know, is KFC in french. Stands for.. Poulet Frit Kentucky. which translates to Kentucky Fried Chicken. But yes brock, I love our KFC better too. Reason why is that it's much less greasier and easier on the stomach.. But overall brocky, this is one huge hockey town.. They really love their hockey here brock.

I love american sports and I watch everything here, because I have Directv, that's how i get to watch College Footsies and all..

Brockster, if you're ever in town, call me.. I will show you around Montreal and take you to your favorite restaurant in Canada.. PFK..

shouldn't be too expensive. But when you leave Montreal, I bet you'll be saying this is the greatest city in the world. And wait till you see the girls.

Kick ass Sick!!

Hey I didn't think Directv was "Legal" in Canada.

Isn't there some arcane rule against it?

I visited you fair city in 1999 for 2 days, saw a game at Parc Olympic vs LA, was kinda surreal since most of my games in person are at Either Busch or Wrigley/Comisky and the park was mostly empty. La Ronde was pretty cool too, no waiting for the most part which is a major hassle at the Six Flags in Gurnee, Illinois.

What about Dunn's??

Was originally Strut888 at the RX but was widely recognized in many other gambling circles as Fishhead. So when I became a moderater here, Fishhead was added to my original forum name so that posters would know that Strut888 was actually Fishhead. Hope that helps.

brock buddy,

how can you go to Dunn's and have the chicken club, and not have the famous Dunn's smoked meat. Montreal is very well known for smoked meat, and Dunn's makes one of the best smoked meat out there. Yes, Oly Stadium is indeed an empty stadium, and the worse stadium in baseball.. I can't believe you went to La Ronde. lol.. That place is for kids ages 8 to 14.. Yes, Directv is indeed illegal, but I've got the illegal card.. (doesn't everyone

Strut888/Fishhead

I really think fishy, it's time to re change your name now. Now that everyone knows you and knows you work here, I think it would be smart on your part sir to take off one of those names now. I am being serious kid.. your name is just too long. If it was my choice, i'd lose the strut and just go with the name that made you who you are today and the name that people got to know, and that is of course FISHHEAD.. Come on fishy, make me proud. Change your name, it's too damn long, honest.. Lets go fishhead.. Lets go fishhead. We want fishhead..

You're a good kid, Fishy. This is what I compare your name to.. When you started your career, you were known first as Strut. Then when your posting career took off across the street, you were known as Fishhead.. Then Fishhead became an icon, not Strut. Strut was not a popular name at all, and no one even knew you were strut. So why bring in strut now? Strut is a fart and a nobody. Whereas, Fishhead is a legendary poster who everyone knows. So why even blend it in with Fishhead? If anything, this name will only hurt you. You could be a lot better off with only fishhead.

Example of this is this..

Do people know Joey Belle, OR Albert Belle.

They will always know Albert Belle, right?

____

Will people remember Herman Ruth like he was called in the beginning, or when he then became known as Babe Ruth or "The Babe" By you calling yourself Strut888, that's like Babe wanting everyone to know him as Herman, and not The Babe.. We don't know Herman.. but everyone knows Babe.. You see what I mean Fishhead? Same thing applies in your name.. Who in the world is strut? But Fishhead, now everyone knows him. Plus, the main thing is, it will now be easier to read, than that long damn name..

Sick--Once again, have to agree with you. It is amazing how you make sense on a regular basis around here.

Same thing applies to you. Can you imagine if Claude were your posting name? Talk about legendary, the name SICK GAMBLER is right near the top of the list. There are only but a handful of posting names that can be deemed trully legendary and hall of fame material.

Sick - LaRonde had some kickass roller coasters when I went, no way young kids go on those, so i am not sure why it was an odd choice.

Anyway, i went to Dunn's 3 times in 5 days LOL

Boston Pizza absolutly rocks too, the buffalo chicken sandwhich is awesome!

And you may ask how i know so much about canadian stuff being from Illinois, well i am married to a Canuck! She is from Grande Prairie, Alberta. I got my Western Canadian fill in over the last 5 years.

Does the casino in Montreal have Craps? When I went to a casino in Canada it was at Niagra falls and there was "no dice" in Canada then.

Tim Horton's is good too, but nothing like Kryspy Kreme!!

brock, i was just kidding about La Ronde. It is actually a family hangout, with a lot of kids. Did you see Old Montreal? Did you walk along Ste Catherine St? 5 times to Dunn's and you didn't even try their smoked meat?? Come on man!! You have no idea what you just missed. Yes, the Casino de Montreal does have craps. Up on the second floor. Only 2 tables though, but don't worry, you will always find a spot. This casino sucks kid. You know me, I have a big mouth, and anytime I play Black jack, I really am the big mouth of the whole casino trying to bring that place to life by being a joker and bugging the dealer in a joking way when a bad shoe comes out, and so on.. And the pit bosses get so mad at me and tell me to pls stop and let the girl deal the shoe. I am a wild guy and love to be the table clown, but not here. They love to boss people around. Makes them feel big. There is no alcohol served. Only punch, coke and coffee. And worst of all, my all time pet peeve.. No cigars allowed
icon_mad.gif
And also, NO BASEBALL CAPS. Geez, sometimes i like to wear my cap, and they won't allow me in there if I am wearing it. I have to go back in my car and put it away.. They really act like god there...

This place really sucks Brock. It is a classy looking place, but it really sucks..

I didn't see any craps at Casino Niagra like you said, but Krispy Kreme donuts I don't like because I find them too sweet.. Man, that sugar is too heavy, and not good if you are trying to cut down your weight a bit, like me.

Like I said, if you're ever here again, gimme a call kid.. I'll show you around..

BBL, like Eng & US FBL, is boring to watch,
except 4 the highlights {altho action can
juice it up}. The NFL shud switch to 3 downs.
