Well its hard to find just one glove man because of the different posions...

A few I like.......

#1 Brooks Robinson (no better defensive player)

#2 Ozzie Smith

#3 Roberto Clemente

#4 Omar Vizquel

#5 Pudge Rodriguez

#6 Andrew Jones

#7 Robbie Alomar

#8 Paul Blair

My top two would be exactly as Jman's - Brooks and then Ozzie. Clemente a close third.

Aurelio just died a couple years ago. Got run over by a car walking on the sidewalk. the lady driving had a stroke hopped the curb and killed him. pretty sad he was a great man and did alot of stuff in the detroit community

Mattingly was next on my list LOL...

I can`t believe the props old Brooksie is getting, that is so cool that he is still remembered so well...

That guy was a throwback classic...and what a name ( Brooks Robinson) and an even nicer man that somehow Baltimore owner Peter Angelos has forgotten about the alltime Orioles player..

Aurelio may have been the best defensive player forgotten by most...Mainly because he was an avg. player otherwise...Kind of like Mike Squires from the White Sox... Squires was so good even as a lefty he filled in a third base.

That was a tragic way to go Dicky....

Not sure you read the thread it was "best fielder" not "Most likely to inhale a Little Caesars pizza pizza and a two liter in one sitting"

I once ran into Cecil Fielder at a Subway Sub here when he was a Toronto Blue Jay, I swear the guy had at least 3 to 4 of them, I wished him luck on the game that night, paid for my sub and said goodbye to him and Railbird as I left the shop!
