it isn't even close. This year's inter league really exposed it.

I am not sure of the numbers but AL had to win over 55% pct of games (wouldn't be surprised if it was higher).

Heck even KC looked decent :puppy:

The AL was 97-56 vs. the NL entering todays games.

63%

WOW. That explains it. Even St.Louis (who is one of the best the NL had to offer) got blasted.

not sure if NL has has a wininng day (sure a few) since this batch of interleague is going.

I wonder what the record is, however, in NL stadiums versus AL stadiums...

The NL has won 3 WS since 1995 and two were by the Marlins, the other the miracle win by Arizona...The AL could have very easily won those 3, it took two miracle 9th inning comebacks and the other the Marlins stunned the Yankees...the American League has dominated for many years.

When you think back even futher to the late 80's, the NL wins were somewhat lucky or totally unexpected, Dodgers over A's, Reds over A's, Marlins over Cle, Marlins over NYY, D Backs over NYY....other than those series there was Atl over a dominant Cleveland team in 1995

True but in the End.... The Mets to win it all is great value as they should stroll into the World Series.

And Arizona was no Miracle with Schilling and Johnson in thier prime and both hungry for thier first ring. Luis Gonzalez was pumped up on the juice or something back then too.

Yes but Mets have 2 Hall of Fame Starters now

Yes they do, but you would have to think both wouldn't be quite as effective come October....Hey I love this Mets team, i wouldn't mind seeing it, even though I despise Glavine.

How about Boston/NYM 20 years later 86/06 :toast:

Just remember the Marlins get it done unlike these other big name teams when it comes to representing the NL who talk every year how great their teams are.

Kevin Kennedy stated this morning on Foxsports radio that he thought 5 or 6 teams from the American League
are better than any teams in the National League.

If KC was in NL they would be ahead of Pirates and Cubs at least!

I wish like hell they were in the NL. Even harder for a small market team to compete when you have to pay the freaking DH also.

Was just looking at the last 10 games column in the standings. Only the Indians are below .500 in the AL and only Florida in the NL was above it
