Pelt fumbled the snap on his own 15 with 0:59 left.

AND they had a ton of momentum. Does anyone doubt that they would have scored on their last drive?

TOPS...here ya go.

New Mexico had the ball with approx. 3 minutes left in the game....took a shit in their diapers and wiped it on their face as they tried to "play not to lose". They had to punt to Col. State, who started with the ball at their own 30 with 1:15 left. On first down, Van Pelt let the shotgun snap sail past his nose and the ball rolled all the way to the 15 yard line....where a Lobo recovered. After a quick diaper change, New Mexico kicked a field goal for the win as time expired.

Clint Steorner should give Van Pelt a phone call tomorrow.

LSUPete: 100% agreed! what a way to blow the game

AnthonyMUSHkas: why are you running your mouth? your picks went 2-2!
of course I'm sure that you'll chime in and tell us that you bet 100 units on NM to win but that you only bet 3 units on the under and 1 unit on UNM on your 2nd half bet .....

Well, sometimes when you try to do to much, or to much is placed on your shoulders, things like this is bound to happen. He's a tough QB and a winner at that, kinda reminds me of Brett Farve. It was a tough way to lose a game, especially when all his heart, soul, and effort was left on the field. I hope Coach Lubick has the intelligence to see that others need to step up more and contribute more.

I didn't bet the game and I am glad I didn't as I would have been on Colorado State. Too bad for Van Pelt as he has been a great player to watch this year.

So if you were on the other side what would you call that? I think these things have a way of evening themselves out over the season.

I was on CSU as well and to see Van Pelt and the Rams fight back to tie the score was a feat in itself. That fumble by Van Pelt was killer. He's usually money in tough situations and I have no doubt he would have led CSU down for a winning score or field goal.
