Right now all donations are going through
Open Arms Costa Rica but every cent will find it's way into the various businesses and persons involved who are necessary to employ in order to assure that Little Rachel is returned to her family so that she can receive a proper Christian burial close to her loved ones. To leave her remains in a morgue in Venezuela is IMHO unthinkable and I know the dedicated and extremely honest administrators of
OACR along with the amazingly kind and generous Woman's World Heavyweight Champion Hanna Gabriel, and several others (including myself) will not rest until Little Rachel is home.
My wife, a Costa Rican National is negotiating with a Funeral Home to recover her remains when they arrive here in Costa Rica. This is necessary and had to done that way by Costa Rican Customs law. From there she will be able to receive a tiny but in it's own way beautiful pure white burial receptacle (casket) and a service at the church of choice of her mother and grandmother followed by burial at a cemetery close enough so that her family can visit her should they choose to.
I am not bringing the subject of Religion into this, as it is totally a matter left up to her family. I do believe like most of Costa Ricans Little Rachel's family are Christians and leave it at that.
Fair warning, I can't thank you enough for your kindness in behalf of this very worthy cause..I will never forget all of you who have selflessly stepped up and displayed a wonderful generosity without which
OACR would be hard pressed to accomplish the merciful mission they have chosen to devote everything to until Little Rachel is home. To repeat myself, leaving Little Rachel there is just not an option any of us can live with.
Thanks so very much to all who have helped, even if only by your prayers, I remain forever grateful.
Wilheim.
