I don't know it. I suspect it.
Put another way, for everyday quick decisions, people use preponderance of the evidence to come to conclusions. Only on severe matters would anyone care to find burden of proof before making a decision.
Just like crossing the street when you are walking in Harlem at 2am and a group of young men dressed in 'urban clothing' while smoking a blunt are coming up ahead. You don't need to know too much, you just use common sense.
