Dante, make sure you check out the charges involved in transferring money into your debit card and the fee for ATM payouts. You WILL NOT be happy with those fees. I stopped using the card altogether, I just have my money sent to my bank via bank wire for free

I think so ignorant....2$ to get the money onto the card...$1:50 neteller fee at the ATM...

If I understand this right

Withdrawal From NETeller
$2.00
ATM Cash Advance
$1.50

there are fees for everything like balance check or dormat fee if no debit card use over 30days and there is a balance on the card...Just check all that online and do not transfer money to the card for more then 30days

$2 to put on the card
$1.50 for withdrawal from ATM

PLUS the $1.50 - $2 that the actual ATM charges you.

So usually $5-$5.50 to transfer $500.. or I guess some ATM's allow $1000

Dante-

I got the card about a week ago but have not used it yet. My understanding from Neteller is they charge $1.50 on top of whatever the ATM owner charges.

I'm banking on about $5 - $10 per $1000 (depending on the ATM limits).

I plan to use the debit card and check options for future withdrawals.

OK so i jumped the gun a bit. But for a guy like DELL DUDE who will try and withdraw $10 at a time, it can be costly.

And yes, you do have to pay the ATM fees of like $1.50-3.00.

Lets say you ask for $500, well the machine will give you $500, but it will charge neteller 503.00 if the fee is $3.00. Then neteller charges you the $1.50

It is an OK option to use for big money, but the MAIN problem you will run into is that most ATM's only allow $200-500 at a time. I think that there is a MAX from neteller per transaction as well

I've been wondering about this...say I try to withdraw $1000 but the ATM limit is $500 will the ATM reject and end my transaction? If so, I could see Neteller tagging me with their "declined transaction fee" of $1. Anyway, I think most ATMs will not end your transaction they would post a message indicating their limit and ask you to key in a different amount.

I've turned a corner on the debit card, at one point I was totally against it but now I think it is a pretty solid option if you are withdrawing amounts that are large enough to justify the fees.

With that said, the fees are still TOO high for the service. The $2 fee for moving the money to the debit card from Neteller is just plain usurious.

BTW, Neteller max is $1000 per transaction.

OK, you are correct. Neteller will not charge the declined transaction fee. But most ATAM's limit you to like $400 or at a time.

I like it, but i have stopped using the debit card. I just have the money deposited diretly into my bank account. It usually takes 36 hours to show up in my account

I used the eft option a ton this year but I believe there are many reason to opt for the card as well.
