Why? He's pitching MEANINGLESS games right now, CWS is what, 14.5 back? Season's done. Who knows what will happen next year, could get injured, or just not be as effective. Not saying that will be the case but I think he could have drawn alot of talent on the trade block.

They are not 14.5 back because of the starting pitching. They HAD to keep him because of the PR hit, and the success of the Cubs. The game today may have been meaningless for the ChiSox, but it wasn't for Cleveland.

Im actually going to side with Themanj! Everyone one of you are busting his balls for being a fan. What is wrong with being a fan. I too am a Die hard White Sox fan and think it was huge for the Sox to resign him! If you know the White Sox, Paul Konerko and Mark Buehrle are the faces of the franchise. Plus Buehrle gave him a "hometown" discount. He could have asked for A LOT more $! Yeah the Sox are struggling, Themanj and I are not fair weather fans, were going to root for the Sox either way!

Excellent signing,.Regardless of where they are now in the standings , He is one of the best "lefties" in the game.. I think this solidifies their rotation for years to come..He's Durability is what stands out the most in eyes..
