71,000 of those are temporary jobs for hurricane related issues, another 20,000+ are for seasonal adjustment (TG & XMAS)

its good, it isnt anything to get too excited about but they beat out the forecast and that is something to build on.

You'll start seeing a lot more honest reporting now that the elections are over...the way the media has discussed the economy is atrocious.

Shot, have you heard about the latest newsweek?

They are saying how fxcked up and disorganized the Kerry campaign was....What a ***** teraaazzzaaa was....and how people on Kerrys staf actually stole his cell phone because he was so indecisive on strategy.

Notice how newsweek comes out with this sh!t after the election.

I hope they didn't count those zillions of new jobs on touch-screen terminals with no paper trail.

Fascinating story...I heard Evan Thomas on CSpan last night talking about it. Apparently he worked out deals with both sides that he wouldn't report anything that happened until after the election; he therefore got a lot more information rather than just the regular spin.

You know why those screens have no paper trail???
So the democrats can't pay the winos, junkies, illeagal criminals, convicted felons and Ted Kennedy 5$ for their paper receipt when they buy their vote...thats no sh!t.

By the way if your implying fraud in Fla. again. its the same Democratic party run election commitees that have the new touch screens...thats what the Mike Moores convenitley forget to tell you.

The Newsweek campaign article is pretty interesting. they are running the series on msn, there's about 8 chapters or so. I read the first two yesterday but I don't see it linked today...

Much bickering and in-fighting in the Kerry campaign. Teresa was a diva.

Howard Dean had falling out with his campaign manager.

I will give credit where credit is due. Repubs ran more disciplined campaign. whenever some new development occurs, they always stick to their scripted talking points.

even down to the little things: Dems couldn't get balloons to release at the convention, Repubs were flawless.

Just amazes me that they plan and coordinate everything so well on the campaign trail but are totally clueless in running an efficient government. where's the disconnect?

....and plenty of "God is on our side" mentality by cowboy and the other players involved should keep enough warheads in the sky to block out the sun....

The stakes are raised boys, and this chess game is going to get real bloody.

Its only £1 a gallon now Game, down from £6 a gallon.

This is because there are now $15 USD to the £ after GWB devalued the dollar.

UK unemployment is 4.7%

On a more serious note, I'm not talking about a receipt when I say a paper trail, I'm talking about votes cast in a box.

Over here (UK, not Canada) a candidate can demand a recount if an election is reasonably close.

You can't do that with an all electronic system...

Your system would be illegal here because it compromises Democracy.
EVERY VOTE needs to be physically verifiable and recountable.

You also have PRIVATE COMPANIES supplying and running these machines.
NO FUXXING WAY should some slimy private company be anywhere near the final voting process.

I am surprised that it is such a non-issue in the US, but its your funeral.
