Ditto. It looks like Texas might actually have all of those egos in check and be playing more like a team for the first time in forever.....might even give OU a game 10/9 in the Red River Shootout.

I hate to give that many points on the road, but the Horns should unload on the Hogs this year....no upset in Fayetteville. IMO.

You guys are all crazy! Houston Nutt is 7-1 as an underdogg in Arkansas! Not only that I was at the Arkansas game on Saturday, these guys are just as talented as the Texas players, the second string was in before the first half was over and they still rung up all those points, this game will be close that I can assure you, if you have any idea the history and tradition of this game you will realize this is a strong play in Arkansas's favor, that's why the line has dropped already.

Good stats Dellmonster, but we'll see! I think that score against N.MexSt was a FLUKE and that's why the line is lower than it should be with TX this weekend! I see much value with the Longhorns...I feel they will run all over Arkansas and beat them up front. It could definetly be a close game, but I was very impressed with TX running game just pounding N.Texas. Arkansas' leading rusher in their game was the QB...that is NOT GOOD! TEXAS ROLLS HERE! Sorry to say......

If I make a play on this game it would be on the horns. However, Mack Brown isn't a big game coach. I think it will be the Vince Young vs Matt Jones show. Young runs like a deer and makes it look effortless but his passing needs some work.

I really hope this isn't UT's year in the Red River Shootout. Guess I'm getting greedy with the wins OU has. There's a former OK st QB (Jim Trabor) on Oklahoma sports radio that said he'd spot anyone 10 points in that game if they take texas. Last 4 years the pt difference was 49, 11, 11 & 52. Every year I walk into the cotton bowl thinking Texas is going to finally beat us and I walk out thinking those clowns will never beat us with Mack. It's getting to the point where OU fans don't talk trash afterwards because they feel sorry for the UT faithful.

Arbuckle,

Have to admit I don't care who wins the game...although I'm now one of the people feeling a little (just a little) sorry for the horns and this streak.

I'm a K-State fan, so actually I'm hoping that OU wins the Red River Shootout in 4 overtimes, wearing themselves out and ready for a letdown on 10/16 in Manhattan. Cats and Sooners "should" both still be undefeated then....doesn't mean they both will be undefeated.

Iquana,
How is Bobby T's?
Still there, I hope? I had some great times there while in the Little Apple.

Great to see some others with the eye for this value play. I was eyeing this game three weeks ago, before I even knew the line. I also think last weeks blow out of New Mexico St. is helping the line for Horn backers, but the truth is this Horn team is way more talented and experienced (Texas--14 RS Ark--4RS), then this Hogs team.

houston nutt and mack brown arrive in heaven and
the "good lord" decides to show them to their homes. On the way to Macks he looks at this huge
Mansion on the hill with Razorbacks flags flying
high...Mack turns and ask God why does Houston get that big mansion and i get a modest home?
God replied i built that home at the turn of the CENTURY...STANDS TO REASON ARKANSAS HAS OWNED TEXAS SINCE TURN OF THE CENTURY
BE CAREFUL OF THIS ONE BOYZ AND I'M A HOMER

When will everyone learn? Same song, different year. Texas want revenge..yada yada yada. They've wanted revenge the past two times we've played.
Arkansas is loaded with young talent this year. You'll be hearding alot from freshmen Monk and Hillis before the year is over. And Matt Jones IS good enough to carry this team to another upset victory over Texas.
Supposedly, Texas' run game is improved this year. They better be. They rushed for 62 yds on 29 carries last year, and this Arkansas defensive line is much improved from last year. Cedric Benson can't run against the big dogs. He runs up his numbers against weak opponents...check out his stats last year. And Texas is without Johnson and Roy Williams at the receiver spots this year.
Take the Hogs and the points.

Golfing Ark,

If I were a Hogs fan, I would be talking smack and savoring last year's victory in Austin as you are now. As I said earlier, I will probably stay away from this game because I hate to give that many points on the road....but this Texas team finally got rid of egomaniacal Roy Williams and overrated Chris Simms and can start playing as a team. And you know this date has been circled on the calendar for a year. Smells like roasted pig to me! GL, whatever you do.

Muffinman,

Bobby T's is still going strong. I used to hang out there on Sundays when I was tired of the wild Aggieville party scene....now that I'm an old married dad, a night at Bobby T's is a wild night out! Let me know if you ever make it back to town, and I'll meet you at BT's for a cold brew, my treat.

You don't need anyone here to jinx the Hook 'Em Horns, you have that joke Mack Brown on the sidelines. Great recruiter, horrible big game coach.
I love M. Jones and his athleticism and heart, but think the Hogs don't have enough horses to play with the 'Horns this year even with Nutt coaching circles around Mack the Knife.

This is a quote from College Football News' website.

There’s no question that Arkansas has to stop Young and Benson from exploiting their relatively inexperienced defense by utilizing safety help. Thus, Young must be solid with his play fakes, in order to get an extra split second to throw the ball, as he’s going to get the middle of the field if he wants it. Inside sources have said that VY has not thrown the ball well from the beginning of fall camp, but that has to change in Fayetteville.
Arkansas defense is pretty good against the run. If Young can't throw the ball, they may be ripe for an upset....again.
