Great play but I'm curious why didn't Texas Tech go for 2 after the TD. That would have made it 40-33. The 1 point play was irrelevant. If Texas scored which would have been unlikely on the kickoff, but everthing in the last few minutes was bizarre an extra point could have won it.

In the pro game you would always go for 2 up by 5 with seconds. College is a little different, because the D can score 2 points and make it a 3 point game. But you our correct I believe T.T. should have gone for 2.

My bad, you can also score 2 points by blocking the extra point. You are absolutely correct. dumb T.T. coach made wrong decision. Always go for 2 in that situation. Some dumb coaches out there.

Agree it was chaos on the field and sidelines he was not thinking straight, but it did put the game over 71.5

i don't see any excuse not to go for 2.....doesn't make sense

I seen Arizona St about to go for 2, the refs call celebration 15 yder, so they send FG unit out.....they decide to assess on the kickoff instead of on point (like Locker), next thing you know it is too late to bring offensive unit back on the field....they had to either kick the point or waste a timeout....
