Any Opinions on this game...

Talk about a live dog.. Texas Tech is for real on offense and Texas isn't. TT's defense is much better and Texas can't pass. I love the Red Raiders at home here. What do ya'll think???

It is now an official play as lower ranked team favored over higher ranked team.

Agree.....here is reasoning...TT has better offense (much better) and a much improved defense....has had a week off to prepare for this "revenge" game...AT HOME in Lubbock...where they always play Tx or anyone tough and won there last time...as for Texas...they have a terrible unimaginative offense...V Young (QB) great runner but terrible passer..."slings " the ball....so TT should be able to control Texas offense...yes Tex "d" is good but hard to totally stop this imaginitave TT offense at home.....plus you are getting points!!!!

once texas gets behind in this game theri players will understand whta is happening agin and lay down ( well maybe little exageration but think they will understand they will lose) and game should be over...Lubbock is sold out of everything this wkend and this TT group is pumped and waiting for this day....

the problem with Texas is that they are 80% run. They run well, but not enough to keep up with TT and cant score quick enough to come from behind.

I agree Texas can't hang with a fast and high scoring game. The question is, will Texas Tech be able to score on a good defense. They could not do so with Oklahoma! Stay away from this game fellas!

good point about the defense. texas now has a former nfl d coordinator who may have some tricks up his sleeve to shut down the run and gun. the thing in TT favor is the fact that Tx offense sucks and that is going to mean more plays for TT and you may stop them for a few quarters but it is going to crack sometime and based on the line movement, we may only need one score to cover this.

the thing that I stated about the d coordinator, he did run the worst defense in the nfl for 3 straight yrs.

but I think that Tech rolls this one big time!!!

TTech is a completely different team in Lubbock on that weird turf under those strange lights....it's surreal. They have score 140 points in 2 games on their own field. They have had 2 weeks to prepare for their hated in-state rival Longhorns. I like TTech, but I LOVE the over 61....I would take the over at 80! Last year's score in Austin: Texas 43, TTech 40

GL everyone.

I would lay off this one. TTech's defense is not very good people

I really think Texas is a good first half bet here, but Tech usually does some pretty crazy things. They are very unpredictable. Texas could be up 20 and it could still come down to the wire. Texas will try and keep Tech's O off the field as much as possible and wear down their Defense. It's really the only way to keep Tech from scoring. Their offense is so efficient, and anywhere near the 50, they are a 4 down team. Texas IS the better team however. Risky...

Texas Tech+3 is my "Rubberband Game" of the week! Take the RB off your bankroll and pound it. TT is the Holy Grail of college football handicapping. They are a Revenging, Avenging, Home Dog with Rest coming off a Win. Texas is coming off 2 tough games and is 0 for 5 ATS their last 5 games. If you can't play this game, you can't play any of them. This is the same scenario that the Ohio St- Iowa game was last week. LT

Shortbus, did I say anything that wasn't true? If I did, please point it out to me. Look it up, TT is playing with revenge, rest and off a win and is a dog. Tex is off 2 tough games with Okla and Mizz. Look it up that Tex is 0-5 ATS their last 5 games. Anything can and usually does happen in a game but I will take my chances with TT +3. LT

Texas Tech will win this game easily. As several have pointed out, they play extremely well in Lubbock as it is rated as one of the toughest places to play. The big difference in this game is the RRaider defense. They have made a concerted effort to recruit bigger faster kids. Players who used to play LB for them are now safties, stand up DEnds are now LBs. They are big up front on both sides of the ball.
We all agree that UT is one dimensional. Tech has the corners to play UT man up on the outside and commit 8 or 9 to stopping the run. They have been concentrating heavily on run defense the last couple of weeks and playing gap control. Expect to see them run blitz as they don't feel UT O Line quick enough to pick up extra rushers (ie oklahoma game).

Also feel that if they can get up on UT early that they can force TO's in the passing game.

And finally, the General (Robert Montgomery Knight) is going to have dinner with the team tonight and speak with them before kickoff on Saturday.

how about the over in this game.

The last 2 times these teams played they combined for 163 points or 81.5 a game. That's 3 TD's over what the line is this week.
