OU will win the conference title so throw them out. If you look at the teams that are left then TT deserves to be in the BCS. TT beat Texas head to head. Pretty simple to me.

That is all that needs to be said.
Texas Tech should get the invite to the Fiesta Bowl.

1 is higher than 3 genius.

also if anyone in the top 10 has an identical record but has a win over the other they deserve the shot.

not the team with 22nd toughest schedule who won at home on a last minute play.

i realize my average intelligence is difficult for you to keep up with.

Amazing how Longhorn backers think.

When it benefits their so called point, H2H matters over SOS even the point is moot considering they lost to TT.

Now SOS is important even though Oklahoma's better SOS is why they are playing tonight.

This just shows how biased Longhorn fans truly are.

Yeah, Texas is #1 one in Schedule but not in the computers (which helped them get over Texas)

But using your reasoning of teams in the top 10 with an identical record but one has a win over the other than they deserve a shot.

So Texas Tech beat Texas 39-33.
So using your logic Texas Tech should get an at large bid??"?
They are obviously better than Texas, there can be no arguement made there.

Texas SOS is better because they play OU. OU can't play themselves. If Texas was a better team then OU's SOS would be tougher. Texas is screwing OU in that department.

The BCS blows. There is no real champ at the end of the year. So it doesn't matter.

you really should stop while you are behind...

lets go in reverse order... they are not OBVIOUSLY better than Texas... they got to play them in Lubbock, in Austin that is a different game. if you disagree with that then you are dumber than i thought...

texas tech has the 22nd most difficult schedule in the nation, texas has 1 and OK has 3... that is why this conversation never at any point included tech.

my reasoning you are incorrectly (shocker) reading is about strength of schedule, not actual ranking.

texas is widely known as playing the toughest stretch of games in all of college football this year... starting with oklahoma, not at home but, on a neutral field.

honestly you are embarassing yourself.

texas is the second best team in the country... can't get much better than that unless they get to play florida.

with that said i could care less if texas was 3 and oklahoma was number 1.. if you are a jayhawk fan pay careful attention to what i am about to say.

in that chart kansas has played one of the toughest schedules all year... if kansas had beaten oklahoma on a neutral field by 10 points and had only one loss all year and it came to texas tech in lubbock would you think they should be the top contender?

of course you would.

Using tiebreakers from any other major conference Texas would be playing for the conference title and a shot at the national championship tonight. But the Big 12 didn't count on the fifth tiebreaker ever coming into play so they kept the "highest-ranked in the BCS" rule in effect, and all teams in the conference knew about it.

So Texas probably did get screwed, but they lost all right to complain about it the moment Michael Crabtree stepped into the end zone. If they had taken care of business in Lubbock -- if Blake Gideon had just held on to that damned gift of an interception -- there would be no debate at all. Texas sitting at home tonight isn't the BCS's fault and it's not the Big 12's fault, it's Texas' fault.

So two teams that could beat the Longhorns are playing, and, yeah, Texas most likely "deserves" to be in the game. But like Clint Eastwood in "Unforgiven" said, "Deserve's got nothin' to do with it."

FYI. Texas is NOT the second best team in the country.
Watch the teams and you will see that Texas isn't in the top 2 or 3 or 4.

also, a team in the top 4 of BCS automatically qualifies.
also, no more than 2 teams in one conference can make the BCS

where does that leave TTech? mad??

come on, TTech was destroyed by OU. they were shown to be a farce. Almost losing at home to Nebraska and Baylor confirmed it. Tech played a good game versus Texas, no doubt. They had Texas coming off 3 big games, night game in Lubbock, and pulled out a last second win.

But comparing teams, Texas is better
